The MTV Movie Awards never fail to bring out the best of young Hollywood for an action-packed night of candid humour, wham-bam performances and, of course, killer red carpet style. Last night, starlets like Hailee Steinfeld, Kristen Stewart, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester stepped out of their fashion comfort zones to rock the red carpet in everything from a Louis Vuitton suit to a safety-pinned Balmain mini. And its lucky they looked so slammin’⎯they had to keep up with the onstage antics (a certain steamy kiss between Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner comes to mind). Karl Lagerfeld will star in a short documentary that follows him on September 10th as he worked at the Chanel offices. The film “The Blonde and I” even caught the designer whipping up a quick outfit sketch before speeding off to an airport photo shoot where he remarked, “I look good on the runway.” Of course you do Karl, you look good everywhere.
