In our last edition of London Fashion Week street style from the Spring 2013 show season, our resident street style photographer, Stefania Yarhi, has captured the tail end of the stylish folk before heading to Milan. It wouldn’t be a day at fashion week without spotting a Balenciaga sci-fi sweater and a vintage print like the D.A.R.E. logo (how very junior high).

We love the bold prints that have been popping up but today’s photos are all about the hardware. Zippers, chain belts and straps from Chanel, the Balenciaga studs we know so well from their coveted bags, and a whole lot of gold. Despite the metallic hardware that was shining on the bags, multiple street stylers had transparent bags. Whether it was a Lucite box holding a wallet or large clutch with perforations, what’s inside of a women’s bag is no longer a secret.

While the New York uniform is heavy on black, London style is heavy on creativity and colour. We love the volume of this gorgeous cobalt blue skirt especially when paired with the large paint splattered bag (is that an inflatable pool toy?). This streeter has us dreaming of Jeannie.

This streeter’s look is why we love London Fashion Week: The style is no holds barred. A shiny striped jacket with puffy shoulders paired with a neck piece that looks like ninja weaponry? Easy.

There is something severe and military-esque about this streeter’s outfit–from the top knot down to the fur sleeves, the leather harness and the lace-up boots.

This streeter’s topper contains oceans, snow-capped mountains, ice shelves, hurricanes… Let’s see a camel cape do that.

While we’re suckers for drama (who doesn’t love yards and yards of tulle) there’s something extremely refreshing about an unfussy, uncomplicated outfit. And while this streeter opts for the simpler route, she injects some personality with a big scarf and oversized glasses.

This streeter knows that fashion is about having fun and she is doing just that in her dramatic flouncy skirt and star spangled shirt. (Pairing it all with work boots keeps things from getting too saccharine.)

We absolutely love this streeter’s eclectic style. Though she is wearing so many different trends–fur, denim, military, tan–she still manages to nail boho chic.

As the mercury begins its steady decline (are you ready for another Canadian winter?) this chunky knit sweater begins to look more and more seductive. We love the simple winter white and coal black palette and how this streeter mixed oversized and super-skinny proportions. Warm, cozy and sexy.
