Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler to present at the M.A.C shows
Details have finally been released about the M.A.C-sponsored New York Fashion Week shows at Milk Studios. The shows aren’t being positioned as a parallel fashion week–the CFDA is supporting the initiative and the shows will be on the official NYFW calendar–though some speculate that there must be some annoyance on the part of IMG, who runs the Bryant Park tents.
The line-up includes some very heavy hitters amongst the young-and-cool-designers set:

Backstage beauty: Greta Constantine
Instead of the traditional army of models bearing the same look, three distinct personalities walked the runway at Greta Constantine on Friday night.
Mlle: M.A.C senior artist Melissa Gibson described this look as a “throwback to the strong, chic French woman.” Lids were blended with a mix of Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre” and Eye Shadow in “Saddle” to “add dimension, not colour”. Mascara was nixed so that the inner portion of the eye, including the lash line, was kept light. “It still makes the eyes stand out, but more like a painting.
