Calgary shop notes: Fresh start
It’s official! After months of hearing the rumours (will they or won’t they?), Joe Fresh (joefresh.com) has finally touched down in Calgary at CrossIron Mills (261055 Cross Iron Blvd., Rocky View, crossironmills.com). Renowned for its cheap-but-chic fashion for women, men and children, this Canadian superstar retailer—offering clothing, cosmetics and accessories–has opened the doors to its 15,000-square-foot space. Body butter: Split decision
The Body Shop Body Butter Duos ($16, thebodyshop.ca) immediately had us posing the question: why the eff didn’t someone think of this sooner? Beauty most wanted: Hermès
Raise the roof
Hermès perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena has used India, Egypt and the Mediterranean as muses for the garden perfume series. This time he looked closer to home for inspiration. Un Jardin sur le Toit ($145, at Hermès) smells like the magnolia-infused air in Paris and the green-apple tree that grows on the rooftop above the luxe label’s headquarters. -
Edmonton shop notes: Best foot forward
