We can’t see anything about this streeter’s outfit besides her coat and her shoes, but it just goes to show what an impact great pieces can have. Witness her ombré greatcoat with extra-long sleeves before you contemplate her shoes. They are awesome.
Toughening up a dainty dress with a biker or military jacket is nothing new, but after seasons of studs, heavy zips and leathers, it’s nice to see some levity in the mix.
As Susie Sheffman said earlier, the Marni fans are always out in full force during Milan Fashion Week. Consuelo Castiglioni’s Fall 2009 collection was one our favourites so we’re happy to have spotted some of it in the wild!
This streeter takes what could have been a sugary sweet ensemble (pink on pink on pink with ruffles and gingham?) and tones it down with leopard and leather.
We love a suit in an unexpected colour. (Actually, we just love a suit in general.) The pleated, cropped pant adds a further twist to this Lovely’s look. And that suede bag? Gimme!
The strips on this Lovely’s dress give it a bit of a gladiatorial feel–twisted by the dusty hue and lightly scalloped hem. The black booties are a good example of how to toughen up spring’s subdued colour palette.
The streeter’s outfit catches the eye from head to foot–from her bow headband, to her scarf print blouse, to the teal tights popping out from patent platforms.
The pretty, painterly mottling on this Lovely’s dress makes us yearn to be an artist’s muse. (Trend alert: Watch for more long-sleeved mini-dresses to come this spring.)
