They said/We said: Jean Paul Gaultier’s Amy Winehouse-inspired couture collection has many feeling uneasy
The inspiration for yesterday’s Jean Paul Gaultier couture show has many feeling a bit uneasy. Walking to a barbershop rendition of Rehab, the models were total Amy Winehouse doppelgangers, complete with beehives, lip piercings, and thickly winged eyeliner (not to mention exposed bra straps and cigarettes). Considering the news-making songstress died just over six months ago, it seems like a case of too much, too soon.
At the forefront of those who are decrying the show is Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, who just this morning tweeted: “We don’t support the Jean Paul Gaultier’s [sic] collection. It’s in bad taste.”

Today in questionable Rihanna news: a new tattoo and a new TV show
Rihanna debuted a new tattoo on Twitter yesterday and it’s, well, interesting. In an apparent homage to 2Pac, she now has “Thug Life” across her knuckles in pale-pink ink. First thought: we’re really into her her pale-pink pointy nails! Second thought: the red lipstick she’s wearing is also pretty! (Can you tell we’re trying to distract ourselves from really taking in the fact that Rihanna—with her millions of dollars and many mansions—wants to play like she’s a thug?) Anyway, she’s not interested in what anyone else thinks, telling one fan who called her on it to “shut up” and then proclaiming she was “#overit.”

They said/We said: What is up with Shailene Woodley wearing athletic toe shoes to a Golden Globes after-party?
Last night’s dazzling starlets were sky high in Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin at the Golden Globes, but when it came to the after-parties, most swapped their skyscraper heels for more comfortable footwear so they could dance the night away.
The Descendants star Shailene Woodley was one of the many to do a quick switcheroo at the Warner Brothers and InStyle after-party, and she looked picture perfect from head to, well, ankle. Her feet? That’s a whole other story. The 20 year old certainly turned heads, thanks to a very bizarre footwear choice: a pair of athletic toe shoes.
