Last night’s dazzling starlets were sky high in Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin at the Golden Globes, but when it came to the after-parties, most swapped their skyscraper heels for more comfortable footwear so they could dance the night away.

The Descendants star Shailene Woodley was one of the many to do a quick switcheroo at the Warner Brothers and InStyle after-party, and she looked picture perfect from head to, well, ankle. Her feet? That’s a whole other story. The 20 year old certainly turned heads, thanks to a very bizarre footwear choice: a pair of athletic toe shoes.

A surprising number of stars kept their nails bare at last night’s Golden Globes—but for those who decided to reach for the polish, purple was the colour of choice. (Unless you’re Zooey Deschanel, in which case custom tuxedo-inspired nail art is the way to go!) So how about those headbands? Michelle Williams, her BFF Busy Philipps, and Charlize Theron were all wearing them last night, making the Golden Globes almost as headwear-focused as an episode of Gossip Girl. While we don’t deny that they’re cute—the perfect accessory for rescuing a bad hair day or adding a punch of quirky style—headbands still seem slightly out of place at top-caliber award shows. Theron looks a little too prom with her sparkly band, and Williams takes away from the impact of her full-length gown with such a playful piece in her hair. But what do you think?
