Get the look! We have the secrets behind Lea Michele, Emma Stone, Kristen Wiig, and Zooey Deschanel’s hair and makeup from the Golden Globes red carpet!
Here’s the thing about award shows: you don’t realize how versatile a starlet’s hair and makeup are until you see all the photos the next day. They said/We said: What is up with Shailene Woodley wearing athletic toe shoes to a Golden Globes after-party?
Last night’s dazzling starlets were sky high in Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin at the Golden Globes, but when it came to the after-parties, most swapped their skyscraper heels for more comfortable footwear so they could dance the night away.
The Descendants star Shailene Woodley was one of the many to do a quick switcheroo at the Warner Brothers and InStyle after-party, and she looked picture perfect from head to, well, ankle. Her feet? Michelle Williams vs. Charlize Theron: It’s a headband battle on the Golden Globes red carpet!
So how about those headbands? While we don’t deny that they’re cute—the perfect accessory for rescuing a bad hair day or adding a punch of quirky style—headbands still seem slightly out of place at top-caliber award shows. Theron looks a little too prom with her sparkly band, and Williams takes away from the impact of her full-length gown with such a playful piece in her hair. But what do you think? Tell us who looks best in a headband by voting below, and let us know in the comments if it’s a red carpet look you’re down with!
