One week after the fairytale wedding to end all fairytale weddings, we’ve still got a serious case of royal fever. We can’t get enough of the gossip around the royal couple (or lack thereof because it seems that they are flawless!), and we have a feeling you can’t either. We hope this will provide a cure. If only for a little while…

In case you didn’t know, there was this little wedding that happened last Friday, for which the future queen wore… well, McQueen (or more correctly, Sarah Burton). We’ve been awaiting the designer’s comments on Kate with baited breath, and at long last, they’re here!

It’s been over a day since Kate and Wills (we are really going to have to get used to saying the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge) tied the knot but we still can’t get enough. We’ve spent the day reliving the details and clamouring for more, so here we present a… photo! This is what the royal couple looked like early today as they left Buckingham Palace. Kate in a simple Zara pleated day dress in her signature blue and Wills in a prepster suit. Though it was thought that they would be leaving for their honeymoon today, the two have reportedly postponed the trip in favour of staying in Britain for the weekend and Wills returning to his military duties on Monday.

It’s hard to believe after five months the Royal Wedding is actually a wrap. As the editor-in-chief of Weddingbells Magazine, this story has been on my editorial beat since William and Catherine annouced their engagement back in November. I knew I had to be in the city for this grand spectacle, and I can tell you it’s an experience I won’t soon forget. The pomp, the pagentry, the excitement, the energy, it has been amazing. I have been to London several times, but never have I seen the city so alive, so electric and so gorgeous… London you cleaned up well for this royal occasion.

While today was a day that will be forever remembered in history as being all about Kate and Wills, there was plenty going on around the couple that’s worth reporting (and laughing about). From the angry flower girl, Grace Van Cutsem, to Princess Beatrice’s crablike hat, here’s our top five.

Our minds, hearts and eyes were proverbially blown this morning by the dizzying spectacle that was the royal wedding. Cementing her place amongst fashion royalty as well as the real kind, Kate showed real foresight by choosing Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen to design her dress and sending the fashion folk along with the rest of 3 billion viewers worldwide into an equally spellbinding tizzy! Recalling a little Grace Kelly (hand-cut English lace and French Chantilly lace bodice) and a little Queen Elizabeth II (nipped waist, full skirt and train), Kate’s dress just radiated regal romanticism. Simply put, there was nothing negative you could possibly say about that dress! We’ll have more coverage a little later today direct from London, but in the meantime, lets digest some of the details surrounding Kate’s (or should we say Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s) wedding day outfit:
