There’s a New Royal Baby!
Congratulations are in order for the British royals, who have a new addition to their family tree. The happy news was shared on the royal family’s Instagram account […]

Vestiaire Collective Predicts Vintage Clothing Will be a Big Part of Fashion’s Future
This weekend, Princess Beatruce married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private ceremony at The Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor. And whilst the flowers were breathtaking and the seemingly relaxed feel of the private event gave an air of wistful romanticism, it was Beatrice’s dress that had everyone talking. The royal opted for a […]

6 Ways British Guests Are Doing Weddings Better Than You
Having spent the past few years in England, I’ve been privy to a few British weddings. There was The Wedding (ahem, when Prince William and Kate Middleton became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), of course, celebrated with a holiday from work, pubs open ludicrously early, and the hat that will live in infamy. Then came Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall, Kate Moss and Jamie Hince and most recently, the blocked-from-Instagram wedding of Poppy Delevingne and James Cook. All of them had their own brand of British charm, with guests and party-members alike dressing to impress. British people really know how to do it, like cardigans, sounding smart when they aren’t and getting sunburned. Nuptial attire is something the British are better at than you.
Sure, Jayden Smith somehow made a white batman suit work at Kimye’s black tie wedstravaganza, but I think in general, the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, oh yes and wear a hat” approach of the Brits can really teach us a thing or two. Here’s how to gear up for wedding season like the Daughter of the Commonwealth you are.

Kate Middleton will now have to curtsey to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. As if!
Kate Middleton might be the future Queen of England, but she’s still a commoner by blood, a fact addressed in the updated list of royal protocols that is said to have circulated privately throughout the royal household last week. The list, which was approved by the Queen herself, places Kate below members of the House […]

All the glorious royal wardrobe details from Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee pageant!
For those of you who were still in REM mode yesterday morning, you missed quite the to-do yesterday in London. Okay, maybe a “to-do” is putting it mildly, when in actuality, Queen Elizabeth‘s 1000-boat-strong Diamond Jubilee river pageant was 60 years in the making, and also hasn’t happened since Queen Victoria‘s in 1897. So lets just say it was QUITE THE TO-DO! The Queen donned an Angela Kelly–designed boucle white coat with flecked gold ribbon embroidery and Swarovski crystals (what, no diamonds?)—reportedly so that she’d be visible from afar amidst all the naval uniforms. Aboard the gilded Spirit of Chartwell and flanked by the royal family in all their uniformed glory, the Queen gave the good ol’ royal wave for a good portion of the afternoon while millions of onlookers cheered her on from the banks of the Thames.

Princess Beatrice’s crab-hat scares, hits Facebook, then sells!
I think we’d all agree that Princess Beatrice’s bow-meets-crab Philip Treacy fascinator was amongst the breakout stars of the Royal Wedding. Now, the hat that scared a worldwide audience by peeking out during almost every shot of Will, Kate and Queen E at Westminster Abbey is going on to do more good by being auctioned off on eBay to profit UNICEF UK and Children in Crisis. And with just over a week to go until the bidding closes, offers have already reached $9,600! Haven’t got that kind of cash to spend on such a cherished piece of history? Get thee Photoshop and superimpose that creature atop your head, like the fans of these Facebook pages have done! It’s truly the hat that keeps on giving…

London dispatch: Royal wedding musings from across the pond
It’s hard to believe after five months the Royal Wedding is actually a wrap. As the editor-in-chief of Weddingbells Magazine, this story has been on my editorial beat since William and Catherine annouced their engagement back in November. I knew I had to be in the city for this grand spectacle, and I can tell you it’s an experience I won’t soon forget. The pomp, the pagentry, the excitement, the energy, it has been amazing. I have been to London several times, but never have I seen the city so alive, so electric and so gorgeous… London you cleaned up well for this royal occasion.

The five (other) people we couldn’t keep our eyes off of at the royal wedding
While today was a day that will be forever remembered in history as being all about Kate and Wills, there was plenty going on around the couple that’s worth reporting (and laughing about). From the angry flower girl, Grace Van Cutsem, to Princess Beatrice’s crablike hat, here’s our top five.
