After starting Canada’s Next Top Model as the not-Heather blonde with braces, Winnipeg’s Meaghan Waller came into her own during a round of New York go-sees and made it quickly to the top. The very top. We chat with the Cycle 3 winner about her favourite moments and future plans.

What have you been up to since filming ended?
“I’ve actually gone back to my life, gone back to my friends, gone back to work. I’m trying to play it low key because going out is pretty hard.”

You must get recognized a lot. What’s the reaction been?
“Almost all of it has been very, very positive. Everyone in Winnipeg has been so supportive.”

Have you been able to tell anyone yet?
“Nope. My parents are having a big party tonight at their house.”

Have you been watching the show?
“I think it’s really awkward to see myself on TV. I don’t watch it unless my parents force me to come over. They always have my friends over every Tuesday. I’d go over and give them some behind the scenes.”

  • The Final Exit: Linsay

Linsay Willier came in a close second to winner Meaghan Waller after both emerged with some serious strutting in the competition’s final fashion show.

Which part of this experience was the most fun? Which was the most stressful?
“The most fun – the travelling was the most fun! Going to The Bahamas and New York were amazing experiences.

  • The Final Exit: Nikita

After breaking down in tears at the sight of her picture, Nikita Kiceluk’s drifting confidence was enough for the judges to lose faith in her too.

Which part of this experience was the most fun? Which was the most stressful?
“The most stressful would definitely be the long hours. It just plays on you like crazy and you’re so tired all of the time. It’s probably the most stressful, aside from eliminations because oh man, I could pull my hair out at those things.

We’ll have interviews with all three contestants, but for now, check out this behind the scenes look at the FASHION cover try. Watch the video after the jump.

  • CNTM Episode 7: Eau de toilette

In this episode Miss J arrives and the girls get familiar with toilet paper.  It’s the final four and it’s getting fun.

There’s always an up side: Nikita thinks it really sucks that Heather’s gone, but Meaghan’s quite happy that no one’s going to get them confused anymore. Note that I accidentally typed Heather several times during this recap. Sorry Meaghan.

Casual Jay!: His Silverness arrives with two cups of coffee. “You know I don’t drink no damn coffee.” Enter: Miss J Alexander, which means, says Linsay, “It’s time for runway.” So of course the girls have to walk the runway in their bra and panties.

Best impression of Richie Rich doing an impression of Chuck Bass: Meaghan and her lip pursing.

  • The Final Exit: Maryam

Why’d you have to go and make things so complicated, Maryam? After delayed passports, missed shoots, a gecko and a torn dress, the judges finally cut our sentimental favourite loose.

Which part of this experience was the most fun? Which was the most stressful?
“The fun part was doing photo shoots and the most stressful is the elimination and standing there and getting judged.”

  • CNTM Episode 6: Go-see the Big Apple

It’s Canada’s Next Top Model meets The Amazing Race as the girls travel to New York City to make the go-see rounds.

Big Silver Haired Brother is watching: The creepy Jay Mail says, “I can see you, but can you see me?” Do you think it’s one of the apartment’s many Jay-inspired art pieces. Chills.

Actually: Jay’s at the CN Tower–with a brunette Rebecca Hardy. Nikita doesn’t “do heights well” or elevators. It’s always something.  Says Jay, “Kinda looks like the view from my apartment in New York.Would you guys like to see what my apartment view looks like? Well, I mean I could show you a picture or you could just GO TO NEW YORK CITY?” I doubt they’ll actually go to his apartment.

  • The Final Exit: Heather

In a slightly shocking turn of events, one-time front runner Heather Delaney was sent home after failing to make an impression at her New York go-sees.

Which part of this experience was the most fun? Which was the most stressful?

The most fun was transforming into a new look each time, from yourself into this crazy, whatever it was. The last shoot in New York was this sort of diva with black hair. That was fun. I might dye my hair black.

The most stressful was judging. You just didn’t know what they were going to say. The first judging ever I actually fell down, I tripped, so that was really horribly embarrassing.

  • The Final Exit: Rebeccah

With the judges feeling she was more suited to the stage than the runway, Rebeccah packed her bags this week.

Which part of this experience was the most fun? Which was the most stressful?
“The most fun part of the experience was the makeover episode. They gave me an awesome haircut. I still need to figure out how to do the cowlick and I’ve got to cut off about an inch and dye my roots again but I love it. It suits me a lot better than what I had before. And also, going to The Bahamas, that was awesome.

  • CNTM Episode 4: Tell me how that makes you feel…

In episode 4, the models get a lesson in charisma from Irina Lazareanu and smile with their eyes through ridiculous makeup. And everybody talks about their issues. A lot.

We can only assume she means Nikita: Ebonie’s note implore the girls to “Please stop complaining, you are the luckiest girls in the world.”

Today’s theme: Anxiety. Let’s start with Rebeccah who has “lost her spunk” and is crying on the phone.

The Nikita has two faces: To camera–“She’s kind of not all there.” To Rebeccah—“If you ever need anything, don’t be afraid to ask.”

Today’s guest: Irina! We’ll say it again. Irina!

Welcome to group therapy: The girls have to get up and speak in front of the group. We find out Meaghan was shy and awkward in high school. Nikita does an impression of Maryam’s quiet voice and Maryam looks really hurt. Also, Rebeccah “disgusts” Nikita.

Editing: I think things would go much faster if we just ignored Nikita for the rest of the episode.

  • The Final Exit: Tara

After her second consecutive appearance in the bottom two, Tara Didon was sent home.

Which part of this experience was the most fun? Which was the most stressful?

“The most fun was to get to meet all these people, like Jay and Yasmin, and to hear what they had to say about you. They’re professionals; they know what they’re doing. Just going to the challenges was fun too. I’m going to be watching this and having a blast thinking, ‘Oh my god’ I totally remember this. This was so fun.’ I made a strong friendship with a lot of girls–Tiffany, Ebonie, Linsay–the show’s going to be over but our friendship will never be over.
