Obvious Child is our new favourite movie
If you don’t already know Jenny Slate, you should probably get on that. The comedian has made us lol many, many times on Parks and Recreation, Kroll Show, Saturday Night Live and as as Marcel the Shell on YouTube. Now, she’s getting semi serious in the new film Obvious Child, which details her character’s downward spiral through a break-up and subsequent but unrelated pregnancy. Hysterical, heart-warming and mortifyingly easy to relate to, it’s definitely my favourite film so far this year.
For those who love Girls, Broad City or anything that chronicles the quirky underbelly of what it’s like to be a modern-day woman, Obvious Child is for you! Loved Now and Then? Well, Gaby Hoffman plays Slate’s bestie. So there’s that, too. If you haven’t already, watch the trailer and then scroll on down the page for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film with Slate and co-star Jake Lacy.
