Op Ed: Is it time to pull the plug on Fashion Police?
It might be the end of an E! network era. Thanks to a legacy of body shaming, the recent racism scandal, and what seems like the unwillingness to adapt to evolving social and comedic norms, E!’s Fashion Police looks like it’s about to commentate on that big red carpet in the sky. And that isn’t a bad thing. […]

Joan Rivers: A retrospective through 6 decades of fashion
Joan Rivers was nothing if not fashionable—or more specifically, Joan Rivers proved that fashion is whatever you make it; that power through clothing is a very real thing. Fashion news: Knicks player to launch line with Rachel Roy, and Joan Rivers says Prada hates America
Up-and-comer Arizona Muse posed in Marrakesh for YSL‘s spring campaign. The American model will also star in Prada’s spring ads. [The Fashion Spot]

(Can’t you just hear Nina Garcia spitting out the word “safe”?) According to Foley, it all started with with Nicole Kidman’s Dior dress at the 1997 Oscars:

NYFW news: Snuggie vs. Slanket, Courtney loves attention, Gaga disappoints fans and more
The Snuggie runway show had it all: prints, colours and canine sizes to suit every Snuggie occasion. But according to Joan Rivers, the Snuggie is a rip off of the Slanket. “I think the Slanket is an item of fashion, because he was on my show How’d You Get So Rich?” Rivers said. “And he was the original — the Snuggie took it from the Slanket.” Sounds like a classic case of which came first, the Snuggie or the Slanket? The buzz was high surrounding the appearance of Lady Gaga at Out Magazine’s party last night. The pop singer showed up an hour after the scheduled end of the party, refused press, and gave no performance, disappointing her eagerly-awaiting fans. Did we mention the wannabe diva left after a mere 15 minutes? [WSJ]
