Serena Williams Celebrated Her 50s-Themed Baby Shower With Celebrity Friends
A baby shower isn’t Instagram-worthy without a cool hashtag and a rocking theme. Serena Williams’s recent baby shower checked both of these boxes. With its fun 50s theme (the dress code called for retro classics like pearls and poodle skirts) and adorable hashtag #SHAKERATTLEANDROLL2017 (rattle, get it?) the celeb-filled fête was the perfect way to […]

Dior Cruise 2018: See the Best Dressed Celebrities + Top Runway Looks
Dior’s latest Cruise 2018 show in California further proves the Golden State is indeed the hottest spot for fashion. For Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first destination runway show, Dior’s creative director picked the Santa Monica Mountains in Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve in Calabasas as the backdrop for her western-influenced collection. Honestly, it looked […]

Paris Fashion Week has officially come to a close and fashion month attendees are packing their bags and saying their goodbyes as we speak. Kelly Rowland vs. Hailee Steinfeld: Who wore black and white best at New York Fashion Week?
See the front row looks up close »
We’re only a few days into the circus that’s Fashion Month and there’s already some exceptional front row celebrity watching to be had. Kelly Rowland and Hailee Steinfeld were two of the many celebrities attending the New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 shows this past weekend, sitting front row at Public School and Prabal Gurung, respectively. Both stars stepped out in black and white ensembles that borrowed some inspiration from the southwest, a trend that Chanel just may have helped start with their Dallas show.
Kelly Rowland debuted a new bob at the Public School Fall 2014 show—which included the label’s first womenswear collection—and while we were certainly getting some throwback Destiny’s Child vibes, we couldn’t look past her leather ensemble. The Tom Ford Fall 2013 top certainly helped Rowland tap into her Texas roots, as it incorporated some serious Southern-style fringe-work on the sleeves and hem. Rowland finished her look off with a white KTZ undershirt splashed with foreign text on the hem and thigh-high leather Christian Louboutin boots. The R&B songstress was definitely having a rock star moment with her ensemble.

Beyoncé: Life is but a Dream premieres tomorrow. Here are 7 reasons why you may cry through the whole thing
I’ve yet to meet someone who doesn’t think Beyoncé is the bees knees. She’s sold countless records, won every award, sung for the President, performed at the Super Bowl, but then again so have many pop artists. They call her the hardest working woman in showbiz, but that’s not the reason they call her Queen Bey either—it’s that aside from supreme octave and hip-thrusting abilities, she’s managed to stay above it all. The importance she’s placed on privacy and keeping it classy that has earned her regal bragging rights. It’s also what has helped her remain relatively unscathed for over 12 years of being in the public eye. To boot, she’s managed to stay married to another of pop’s biggest stars, Jay-Z, sans unseemly consequences.
For the first time in all those years, we’re being let inside the life and mind of Beyoncé with the premiere of her documentary Beyoncé: Life is But a Dream on HBO/HBO Canada. The self-directed stunner bleeds 90-minutes of raw emotion and power through spellbinding all-angle performance footage, self-filmed video diaries, private vacation home videos and more. And while Jay-Z, Blue Ivy, Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland and Solange make their select appearances, it’s all about Bey. It’s like her Tumblr’s come to life and I swear, from personal experience, you won’t be able to keep a dry eye.
Here are some things that had me especially intrigued/verklempt:

TIFF party talk: Kelly Rowland almost lies to us about shopping on Fashion’s Night Out
On the red carpet at the star-studded Cinema Against AIDS event, we had the chance to chat up Kelly Rowland . When we talk Fashion’s Night Out, she almost tries to cover up that she did some shopping herself. Not that it’s a crime.
What brings you here tonight? “AmfAR brings me here tonight, Kenneth Cole brings me here tonight, their passion brings me out here tonight, finding a cure brings me out here tonight, so I’m excited to be here tonight amongst so many great people, people with passion and I’m excited to see what the night holds.
Did you come to Toronto specifically for the event? “I did, we’re all flying back tonight.”

TIFF party pics: Kenneth Cole talks mix-and-match black, plus red carpet snaps of Kelly Rowland, Martin Sheen and more
There’s nothing like celebrity endorsement to open hearts (read: wallets) for a good cause. So when Kenneth Cole, Kelly Rowland, Martin Sheen, Emilio Estevez signed up to attend the event, so did the majority of the Porche-driving population of Rosedale.
The result was some yummy black tie style, and some yummier conversations with Kenneth Cole and Kelly Rowland. See my Q&A with Cole after the jump.

Fashion news: Beverly Peele hospitalized after car crash, Terry Richardson loves wedge heels, and Tyra Banks, novelist
’80s super Beverly Peele is in “very serious condition” after a car crash last night in L.A. Peele’s daughter was also involved in the accident and both sustained multiple injuries. [TMZ]
Tyra Banks has just announced she will be writing trilogy of fantasy novels called Modelland. On her website, she promises the novels will take you to a “fantastical place you’ve never seen, or heard about, or read about before… Where dreams come true and life can change in the blink of a smoky eye. ;)” Well that just about sums it up, Tye. NYFW news: Snuggie vs. Slanket, Courtney loves attention, Gaga disappoints fans and more
The Snuggie runway show had it all: prints, colours and canine sizes to suit every Snuggie occasion. But according to Joan Rivers, the Snuggie is a rip off of the Slanket. “I think the Slanket is an item of fashion, because he was on my show How’d You Get So Rich?” Rivers said. “And he was the original — the Snuggie took it from the Slanket.” Sounds like a classic case of which came first, the Snuggie or the Slanket? [The Cut]
The buzz was high surrounding the appearance of Lady Gaga at Out Magazine’s party last night. The pop singer showed up an hour after the scheduled end of the party, refused press, and gave no performance, disappointing her eagerly-awaiting fans. Did we mention the wannabe diva left after a mere 15 minutes? [WSJ]
