The skinny on Narciso Rodriguez’s new role for Banana Republic
After spending the summer wrapping up a line for Kohl’s, relaunching his shoe line and sitting at the helm of his own fashion label, you’d think Narciso Rodriguez would want to take a little breather for a day or two. Instead, Banana Republic has just announced that the busy-bee designer will be starting a specially created advisory role with the retailer this Monday. The new position will have Rodriguez collaborating with Banana Republic creative director and executive VP of design Simon Kneen.

It kind of feels like J.Lo and Marc Anthony are duking it out in their new promo videos for Kohl’s
In a new promo video for her first collection for American super-brand Kohl’s, Jennifer Lopez takes us behind the scenes in the making of her collection. She pensively points at models while reassuring us that she’s more than qualified to be the artistic lead. The Jennifer Lopez Collection includes sportswear, dresses, handbags, jewellery, shoes, and sleepwear. As if that isn’t Enough, there’s a home collection of bedding, towels, and luggage!
What really makes the collection interesting is its baggage—and by baggage we mean Marc Anthony. J.Lo’s almost-ex husband was set to release the collection with her, but since their split, the collections have been promoted separately. Awkward.

They said/We said: We (almost) shed tears for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony while pondering the future of their line at Kohl’s
After seven years of marriage, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced on Friday that they were getting a divorce. The split came as a bit of a surprise: Lopez, Anthony and their three-year-old twins seemed to be the definition of a happy and meant-to-be family. For celeb fashion enthusiasts though, the end of the marriage brought up another concern: What would happen to the couple’s upcoming joint line for Kohl’s? After all, it isn’t everyday that a celebrity power couple collaborates on fashion for the masses.
Well, those who were anxiously awaiting the chance to make the cross-border trek can breathe a sigh of relief. The line will still go on despite the couple’s personal issues. In fact, Lopez and Anthony reportedly signed separate contracts with the retailer back in November when the project was announced (perhaps the relationship was on the rocks back then). All speculation aside, this means that when the lines hit Kohl’s stores, guys can pick up menswear by Anthony and ladies can get their hands on womenswear by Lopez. We’re just hoping she backs off of the python.
