Fashion news: Marc Jacobs makes the Time 100, Armani pairs up with Reebok and the Prada alphabet
Marc Jacobs and Liya Kebede made the Time 100 list, which comes out on newsstands Thursday. Victoria Beckham interviews Jacobs for the issue and Tom Ford talks to Kebede. [WWD]
Models are appearing in more ads than celebrities, suggesting a turn of the tide in celebrity-heavy spots. Karl Lagerfeld cites celeb overexposure, while the Marilyn Agency’s Robert Ferrell suggests the economic crisis might have something to do it–having a celebrity can “double or triple” the budget. YSL designer Stefano Pilati just plain likes to work with models: “[Actresses] have an attitude, but will never be the fashion attitude. To me, fashion photography is with a model; otherwise, it’s a portrait.” [WWD]
