London Fashion Week Spring 2013: 5 trends already staking their claim on next season
See our Spring 2013 developing top 5 trends »
While the international collections are only half way through there is no doubt that some Spring 2013 trends have been set. London Fashion Week elaborated on some of the trends that we first spotted in New York making spring style seem clearer than ever. Spring 2013 promises bold fashion ready for risk takers. Those who thought the crop top was a phase seem to have been proven wrong. Look for bare bellies and plenty of skin throughout the collections—start those crunches now.
Skin is definitely in, as leather frequents the catwalks for Spring 2013. At Mulberry, leather-on-leather takes the typically non-summer fabric for a ride dropping it right in the middle of its sugary sweet sixties-inspired collection. Meanwhile, defined digital prints continue to develop for Spring 2013 in the hands of their mistress, Mary Katrantzou: vivid images take us on a trip with international banknotes and postage stamps.

TIFF 2012: Selena Gomez wore 3 different dresses yesterday. Which is your favourite?
View the Selena Gomez TIFF gallery »
Selena Gomez had quite a busy day in Toronto at TIFF yesterday, in town to promote her newest and boldest role to date: part of the ensemble cast of Harmony Korine‘s edgy new flick Spring Breakers. Alongside teen-queens High School Musical‘s Vanessa Hudgens, Pretty Little Liars‘ Ashley Benson and James Franco, Selena Gomez attended a press conference, a red carpet premiere and of course, an after party. For each of her appearances, Selena Gomez choose quite a different look. First, at the press conference, she was the vixen, in a strapless leopard-print Dolce & Gabanna dress, simple black heels and flowing brown locks. Second, it was a frothy embroidered and tulle-skirted Marchesa oyster illusion dress worn with a loose updo and gold heels at the red carpet premiere (How she sat comfortably with all that volume, we’ll never know). Finally, it was an age-appropriate strapless red taffeta dress, worn as she posed alongside co-star Ashley Benson at the spring break-themed after arty at Brassaii. Which, of the three looks gets top marks? Our vote goes to Dolce, but what really matters here is yours. Which is your favourite?
