New York Fashion Week beauty: Fall 2015 buns and ponytails are crazy-chic versions of classic ‘dos
We’ve never had strong feelings about updos of the everyday variety. There’s certainly nothing wrong with a good bun or ponytail, but the styles don’t really elicit much more than a resounding “meh” or “okay, sure” from us. Let us demonstrate. “A topknot or high ponytail paired with a cute dress? Okay, sure.” After all, […]

Anthropologie announces its latest batch of Made in Kind designer collaborations
The latest in Anthropologie’s Made in Kind designer partnerships is here (well, almost) and, frankly, we’re obsessed. For May, the retailer will collaborate with labels like Tracy Reese, Charlotte by Charlotte Taylor, Beguile by Byron Lars, and several dresses from the India Collections. The collections feature prints and brights galore—all perfect for a summer poolside look (we’re eyeing the canary yellow Charlotte by Charlotte Taylor dress).
Of course, there’ll also be some new pieces from staple favourites like Rachel Rose and Place Nationale. The newest installment hits stores tomorrow—just in time to re-stock your summer wears.

It’s those months leading up to summer when showers and bachelorettes have to be planned, decorations consulted upon and, of course, matching dresses bought. Unless your bride-friend is going the “just get a black dress” route (yeah right), this can be torturous exercise in body shape assessment, silhouette negotiation and perusal of thousands of geriatric satin numbers, many of which are composed of highly flammable fibres and aren’t lined properly. Need we mention that those will never be worn again?

FASHION plates: Tutti frutti
By Randi Bergman and Jordan Porter
“Bop-bop-a-lu-a, a-whop-bam-boo!” Fruity spring runways at Prada and Stella McCartney and had us belting out the ole’ Little Richard classic while channeling our inner Josephine Baker, Carmen Miranda and Anna Dello Russo. A veritable fruit salad of bananas, pineapples, cherries and more, this trend is one that we can’t wait to really sink our teeth into.
