Drew Barrymore is launching a 181-piece “luxury at mass” makeup collection
Back in October, rumour had it that Drew Barrymore would be launching a makeup line at Wal-Mart and today WWD confirmed that a 181-piece collection will be released in January 2013 under the brand name Flower.
Barrymore will not be lending her face to front the line, but instead is a co-owner who will be involved in every step of the process. The collection is described as “true luxury at mass” and rose-gold and white packaging will be priced from $5-$14 exclusively sold at Wal-Mart.

Drew Barrymore rumoured to be working on a makeup line with Wal-Mart
With a recent marriage and baby behind her, change seems to be what Drew Barrymore is all about these days. Today rumours have surfaced that she’s reportedly working on a makeup line for Wal-Mart.
According to WWD, the actress—who has been a Cover Girl face since 2007—will end her contract with the brand in January in order to strike out on her own in the world of cosmetics. Sources say she has been working with Intercos, an Italian supplier for color cosmetics and makeup. It will be the first time Barrymore has gone into the realm of creating cosmetics and the forthcoming line will be exclusively sold at Wal-Mart.

They said/We said: The lowdown on Black Friday madness across the border (including a $2 waffle iron riot!)
By Bianca Teixeira
The boiling point of holiday marathon shopping in the US is Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving (today!) when prices have been slashed and slashed again. The likes of Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and many, many others have items on sale for as much as 90 per cent off, and those promotions started as early as last night. In an effort to keep sales in the country, Canadian retailers have dropped their prices today as well, but we’ve been mostly spared the insanity that ensued south of the border—there are reports of a Los Angeles woman pepper-spraying 20 people around her (including children!) to make sure she got to her desired items first. Elsewhere in L.A. a man was shot and robbed on the way to his car leaving Wal-Mart with his purchases. Fire departments are saying that shoppers everywhere are being injured from “rapid crowd movement.” So far no one has been killed (unlike the Target trampling victim of 2008), but there was a close case at this Wal-mart, where a riot ensued over a $2 waffle iron.
