One year has passed since I wrote my first blog post for fashionmagazine.com, sadly, that means my time is up.  I decided to leave you all with my top five places to shop in the wonderful city of Winnipeg.

Cha Cha Palace (shown, 173 Lilac St., 204-284-4128) for unique shoes, amazing bags, sexy lingerie and dresses, both expensive and affordable. A wonderful hidden gem with quality pieces. A recently opened second location (468 Main St., 204-943-8440) deals solely in shoes, bags and accessories (for men too!).

I fall in love with Wilfred, over and over again. The way he hangs perfectly off my body. The way he knows how to please me next and make me feel sexy in every way. I’m talking, of course,  about Aritzia’s exclusive line, Wilfred.

An early summer getaway landed me in the beautiful west coast of Canada.  The combination of Vancouver’s lush landscape and warm breeze caused me to swirl into an uncontrolled shopping frenzy. Give me a little warm weather and some sun, and this girl’s gotta shop.

I’ve been to cities all around the world and each has its own unique style and fashion scene. You’d think the smaller cities in the Prairies couldn’t compete with the style capitals, but I’m proud to say that Winnipeg is really is a fashion forward place. I went on the hunt for some of the best street style in town.

Every woman has that go-to pair of jeans that makes her feel sexy. Mine are called (hilariously enough) “the walk of shame.” The only problem is, I’ve loved them so much that both knees have worn out and there are other glaring signs of: “WARNING! These jeans may give way at the most inopportune moment.”

As bad that sounds, I still love them and I’m having a hard time sending them to denim heaven. Thankfully, Chip & Pepper have opened up a temporary home (137 Main St. S., Kenora, Ontario, 807-467-2734) in a beautiful summer spot—Lake of the Woods.
