See the photos from Pride 2013 »
If you live in Toronto, it’s pretty impossible to avoid the infectious nature of the city’s annual Pride celebrations. Sweeping through with parties, parades and all around good vibes, Pride 2013 seemed bigger than ever. It seemed more stylish too, especially by the looks of our photo gallery from Drip, Travis Richel’s weekend-long party at Smith on Church Street. Tricked out with DJ sets by Diego Armand, Prince Innocence, Kikileaks and attended by the ever-stylish likes of stylist Carey Tauben and designer Myles Sexton, it was a definitive hotspot and welcome addition to this year’s blowout.

Inside The Room’s Viktor & Rolf party: 31 photos of fashion’s who’s who coming out of hibernation for spring
See The Room’s Viktor & Rolf party photos »
Viktor & Rolf’s love affair with Toronto began last night with a fittingly springy fête at Toronto’s Hudson’s Bay Queen Street flagship. In town to celebrate their recent collections as well as to do press spots for their upcoming Dolls retrospective exhibit with Luminato this summer, designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren sported matching embroidered jeans (Horsting’s featured sunglasses while Snoeren’s featured moustaches) and matching thick rimmed frames, making them the ideal models for Toronto’s new eyewear-specific blog, The Spectacled.
In keeping with the Dutch duo’s eccentricities, The Room was transformed with newly papered walls featuring the Fall 2013 runway room’s eerie black and white floral print, a string quartet playing instrumental takes on pop music and strapping waiters, who passed many a prettily-decorated Perrier-Jouët champagne flute while wearing V&R-esque (and maybe even a little Denis Gagnon) glasses.

Trendspotting at Pride: 34 shots of the hippest kids beating the heat at Toronto’s most fashionable weekend party!
While the rest of the city was busy setting off Canada Day fireworks and lining the streets for the annual blowout Pride Parade, Toronto’s hippest were hanging in the beautifully shaded backyard belonging to gallerist Daniel Faria. Co-hosted by Faria and alongside Rui Amaral and Andrea Beechey, the backyard soiree (complete with drag show by Mozza Fierce, tunes by DJ Diego Armand and drinks served by topless The Earl’s Men) was a welcome respite from the frenzied pulse beating through the city’s wears. Instead, guests like Trinity Jackman, Jeremy Laing, Frank Griggs and Catherine Dean favoured easy breezy Ts, loose summer dresses, tropical prints and strapped flats. Check out our favourite shots from street shooter extraordinaire, Textstyles’ Stefania Yarhi.
