Beauty Fix: A cool trick (literally!) for getting rid of undereye puffiness and more answers to your beauty questions
Every week we take on your questions about makeup, skincare, hair and more and provide all the answers. This week we offer two fixes for tired eyes: one tip will ensure your undereye puffiness is no more and the other works like a charm to brighten dull eyes. And while we advocate for wearing SPF year-round, with spring just a few weeks away it’s more important that ever to add some sunscreen into your beauty routine. We suggest one product that even oily-skinned girls won’t shy away from. Have a question we haven’t answered? Email us at beautyfix@fashionmagazine.com.

What’s in your bag, Allison Williams?
Go inside Allison Williams’ bag! »
Girls is back. Girls is back! One of our most intense cultural obsessions returns with its Season 2 premiere on January 13, 2013 at 9pm on HBO Canada, and what better way to celebrate than with a look inside the beautiful bag of one of its beautiful stars, Allison Williams.
Our former cover girl was in Toronto last week to promote the new episodes as well as the release of season one on DVD and Blu-Ray (Its accompanying book of Lena Dunham’s tweets is epic, FYI) and graciously dumped the contents of her Jason Wu Daphne shoulder bag. While her stuff was being photographed, I super-fan quizzed her on the return of Booth Johnathan as well as what the next season looks like for character Marnie Michaels, who seemed to be floundering sans-boyfriend and roommate at the end of season one. “She’s having a rough go. She’s without the same comforts that she had in season one, so she’s very influx, and that is something that I know that I, and a lot of my friends can relate to,” she said. “When it rains, it really does seem to pour especially when you’re in your mid-twenties when you don’t have a lot of foundation already laid down it can just throw everything into upheaval at once—job, everything.”

What’s in your bag, Jennifer Daubney
For today’s bag snoop, we’re going inside the beautiful Marni bag belonging to Jennifer Daubney, Holt Renfrew’s longstanding lady behind the velvet rope (a.k.a. manager of public relations). While her daily dealings may involve some of the best names in fashion, from Tom Ford to Prada and Chanel, she is one of the most hilarious, endearing people we know. Always a class act from head to toe, this PR maven hasn’t let being seven months pregnant hold her back from being Alexander Wang-clad at all the summer’s best parties.

True Blood’s Anna Paquin on art collecting, family plans and playing Sookie—plus her shopping picks for summer
By Elio Iannacci. Photographed by James White. Styled by Penny Lovell.
Read our interview with Anna Paquin »
See Anna Paquin’s shopping picks »You can learn a lot about an actress by the way she steps on set for a photo shoot. Some stars require the armour of an entourage; others need a personality-devoid space and monastic silence. Anna Paquin is unquestionably neither of the above. Upon arriving at L.A.’s Smashbox Studios on a scalding Saturday afternoon, the Winnipeg-born, New Zealand-raised actress introduces herself to the FASHION crew without hesitation. Serving up a warm, Kiwi-accented “Nice to meet you” to photographer James White—and his troop of all-guy assistants crushing on her—the 29-year-old talent does the rounds as if she were hosting a cocktail party. Of course, there is a reason for Paquin’s accelerated social skills. Having won an Oscar at the age of 11 for her performance in Jane Campion’s The Piano, Paquin has grown up with cameras and handshakes at every corner, starring in a mix of family pictures (Fly Away Home), blockbusters (X-Men), indie flicks (The Squid and the Whale) and, most recently, a ratings monster of a TV series called True Blood.
After changing into her favoured cover look—a Jackie Onassis-like Marc Jacobs dress trimmed with silver studs—Paquin dashes in front of the lens, occasionally cracking jokes and posing without any forced fabulousness. Her good humour remains intact long after the array of designer heels and baubles are put away and we are left alone to talk.
