TIFF news: the InStyle party, Ed Norton snubs the cameras and stars remember Swayze
Matt Damon, Amanda Seyfried, and Colin Farrell were shot by InStyle at the Windsor Arms for the November issue. The magazine’s party at the hotel later that night drew Clive Owen, Robin Wright, Keanu Reeves and Fergie (the royal, not the singer). [WWD] [@mbilodeau]
Ed Norton was none too pleased to see the media at the Cheval after party for his film Leaves of Grass. Norton didn’t walk the red carpet or give the cameras a shot, sneaking into the party inconspicuously. [Toronto Life]

TIFF vote: What do you think of Amber Heard’s striped manicure
We almost passed over this photo of Amber Heard at the premiere of The Joneses. (See our red carpet gallery) She does look flawless in her matte red lips and black satin dress. Classic, but no big deal. And then we had a scroll down moment. Check out the close up:

Video: Tom Ford’s directorial debut, A Single Man
Even for the Toronto International Film Festival, Tom Ford’s presence in Toronto yesterday was a pretty heavy dose of glamour. The designer was in town yesterday to promote his directorial debut, A Single Man, which stars Colin Firth in an award-winning turn as a gay man in the 1960s who’s be set adrift after the death of his partner. After watching the trailer, it was no surprise to discover that the highly-stylized film shares a production designer with Mad Men. Julianne Moore also stars. The cast did a Q&A at the premiere–video after the jump.

Gallery: Coco Rocha, Alexa Chung, The Stills and Stefan Brogren at the Holts party
Coco Rocha, Alexa Chung and The Stills hit up Queen West Saturday night for the Holt Renfrew party in honour of Geoff Barrenger’s pair of short fashion vignettes. Chung, U.K. MTV VJ and ex-model, DJ’ed the party and her set was much more fun than the professional DJ who spun before and after her. The Stills played a set, entreating the high-heeled fashion and film flock to stop being so genteel and come closer to the stage. Films of Coco cavorting with Behati were projected on the Burroughes Building’s sixth floor’s whitewashed walls. Check out our party gallery after the jump and then go watch the shorts on Holts’ site.

TIFF Vote: Do you like Demi’s yellow frock?
There was another yellow dress on the TIFF red carpet this weekend: Demi Moore’s ruffled banana cream number at the premiere of The Joneses. (See the red carpet pics here.) Do you like it? We’re not sure. It looks great with Moore’s dark hair, but there’s also something a bit blah about it. What say […]
