Yesterday was the longest day of the year and we’ll be taking full advantage of the late sunsets this weekend with visits to urban amusement parks and beaches, shopping for bijoux and a long-awaited album from a ’90s star.

After a crazy week of cover shoots, our seasonal trend presentation and some hot, hot weather, everyone here at FASHION is ready to unwind. This weekend we’re updating our iPods for summer road trips, bidding adieu to our Girls, keeping an eye out for an Avril-style wardrobe malfunction at the Chum City Building and paying homage to our dads.

Summer weather—and the festival season that comes with it—is taking hold across the country. This weekend, we’re hitting up an all-day loft party in Toronto, a gallery opening in Vancouver, shops for runway looks (and accessories to match) and following Robert Pattinson on an epic cab ride across Manhattan (that was filmed in Toronto). In our first instalment, we head to the cinema for some sartorial inspiration (both cute and dramatic), hunt for vintage in Montreal, find a new party soundtrack and hit up a designer sample sale.
