Men’s fashion was given some much-needed attention this season at World Mastercard Fashion Week, as a handful of shows were dedicated to style-enlightened gentleman. In Toronto, we saw a range of menswear styles that were worthy of coveting—from modern contemporary at Thomas Balint to the bespoke luxury at Christopher Bates, we’ve compiled the highlight menswear shows from this fashion week for your viewing pleasure.

Spotted: Editors looking chic despite the cold wicked wind of the west: lots of fur, chunky knits, coloured ribbed tights, croc-print boots, trenchcoats, skinny jeans tucked into boots, bejewelled flats and elbow-length leather gloves.
Now, on to the shows…

Day Two: It’s raining men
Slightly soggy but still devastatingly stylish, FASHION headed back to the tents for round two. On the way into the media lounge, we spotted our fave male fashionista and ultimate charmer, Fashion File‘s Adrian Mainella. After a quick catch-up and an air kiss or two, FASHION sprinted back to our seats for the evening’s shows.

Day three: Mid-week mania
Stuck in a ghastly gridlock, I barely arrived in time for the next round of shows. After a quick pit stop at the media lounge to grab (the fashion editor fix of a diet coke and buffet bite) and gab (five hours a day for five days a week, and there is still more to chat about?) with some of fashion’s finest ladies and gents, I was back in my seat, feeling refreshed and revitalized for some ready-to-wear…
