From morning headstands to finding the perfect haircut, the FASHION editors share our fashion and beauty resolutions for 2012!
We’ve gone from the season of never-ending merriment to one that’s all about making up for an entire month of holiday indulgences: New Year’s resolution time. However, not all resolutions have to be about hitting the gym more often or swearing off tasty treats. From changing up your skincare routine to adding a boost of colour in your wardrobe, there are many simple things you can do for your fashion and beauty routines that will make each day of 2012 a little brighter and a little better. And because resolutions always work best when you share them, here’s what some of the team at FASHION has resolved:
-
The inner circle: Fight off the winter blues with 14 picks of the hottest hues
From tangelo orange to indigo blue, the season’s coolest clique of colours is rainbow bright in a variety of unexpected coats, sweaters, and tunics.
-
Berry parfait: The tastiest colour story of the season
Add drool-worthy drama to your look with layers of rich blues and cranberries.
-
The A-list: Our top picks of the season’s trends

Lipstick is bright, bold and iridescent. Fragrance is intoxicatingly opulent, steeped in history. And counterculture strolls down memory lane, redefining drugstore cool.

Toronto: Gaudet is bringing colour back
Design duo Norm and Gio Gaudet (gaudetfashionhouse.com) have one goal: to get you to ditch that basic black winter coat in favour of one of their bold and bright pieces. The pair, who specializes in hand felting techniques, showed their first collection at LG Fashion Week on Wednesday. They took a moment after the show to talk to us backstage about Canadian winters, poppies and the baby of the family.
