Canadian designer Nada Shepherd launches her first fragrance
Expect the unexpected when it comes to Nada Shepherd, the woman behind the Canadian womenswear label Nada. Five photographers take on the calla lily for the launch of Cavin Klein Beauty
Photography by Natasha V. One understands the loveliness of the calla lily, its austerity offset with swooping curves. Keep in mind Diane Kruger, sleek in stark white Calvin Klein, at the Met gala in May, and you have a picture of how the flower fits into the Calvin Klein brand and became the inspiration for Beauty, its latest scent, for which the actress is the face.
The fragrance launched in Toronto last week with a soirée at the Terrace Room at the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art. To celebrate the launch, FASHION (sponsor of the event) commissioned five photographers–Caitlin Cronenberg, Karen Roze, Jody Rogac, Natasha V. and Davida Nemeroff–to interpret the calla lily in their own style.

In the flesh: Kim Kardashian on her fragrance and why her hair always looks so good
Beauty intern Rema Gouyez Benallal with Kim Kardashian, photography by George Pimentel “How would you like to have lunch with Kim Kardashian?” asks beauty editor Lesa Hannah.
It’s only a few days into my internship and I’ve already been presented with the chance to meet my celeb body crush.
Before Kim came along, I worshipped at the altar of J.Lo, so, as you can tell, the big-butt-flat-tum combo is what I dream of—I’m a serial lunger.
She’s in town to promote her new fragrance but, truth be told, I’m more interested in seeing her in the flesh. When she finally enters the room at One Restaurant at the Hazelton, I see that, yes, she’s hot.

Beyonce’s hot hot Heat launch party
When Solange Knowles tells you to “Stop Twittering, put away your phones and dance,” you do. Ms. Knowles, who actually uses far choicer, more imperative words, is spinning Michael Jackson for a crowd that, by and large, is surrounding her older sister with an amphitheatre of phone cameras for Twitpic-ing purposes. The older sister in […]

Karl Lagerfeld has an interesting theory about porn’s effect on crime rates. He told Bruce LaBruce in Vice: “Frustration is the mother of crime, and so there would be much more crime without prostitutes and porn movies…[but] I personally only like high-class escorts. I don’t like sleeping with people I really love. I don’t want to sleep with them because sex cannot last, but affection can last forever. I think this is healthy. And for the way the rich live, this is possible. But the other world, I think they need porn.” [Vogue UK]
