Kate’s on Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List (of course!) as well as the cover of their September issue
This time there’s no photoshoppery required: Kate Middleton is one of Vanity Fair‘s September covers, but the magazine chose to use an actual photo of the duchess instead of pulling a Marie Claire South Africa. (The picture in question is from last year’s visit to Los Angeles, when Will and Kate attended the BAFTA Awards.)

Kate Middleton recycles yesterday’s outfit to cheer on Zara Phillips’ silver medal on the equestrian course today
See what Kate’s been wearing to the Olympics so far! » No, that’s not a double take: Kate is indeed wearing the exact same outfit as yesterday, but with a different top underneath her Smythe blazer. Quelle recycle! Yesterday we wondered, and now we’re fairly certain that Kate’s getup is intentionally laid-back so as to not […]

Kate welcomes the Olympic torch to Buckingham Palace in her own take on Team GB’s uniform (It looks perfect, of course)

Well! In a stylish turn of events, Kate opted to save her sporty attire for this afternoon’s celebrations, which welcomed the Olympic torch to Buckingham Palace. First thought: she really has an eye for colour! You would never guess that those cobalt blue skinny jeans are not Team GB issued, but they are, in fact, Kate’s own pair from Zara. (Barefoot is one thing, but a royal in track pants? Never!)

Kate goes barefoot while refereeing a judo match and dare we say her ping pong skills are Olympic-worthy?

While we’re always game for pictures of Kate doing pretty much anything, it’s the candid action shots that really excite us. Case in point: this morning William, Kate and Harry were playing sports at Bacon’s College in South London to launch a program that encourages young people to become coaches. (How very day-before-the-Olympics appropriate!) Kate wore a checker print white and grey day dress by Hobbs, which is of course now sold out, given its £119 price tag. The full skirt and nipped-in waist didn’t hinder her athletic ability, though: the duchess kicked off her Pied a Terre Imperia wedge heels and went barefoot to referee a judo match. (And to think only a few months ago we were going gaga over her lack of sheer tights!)

Mark those calendars! We’ve got Kate Middleton’s entire Olympic schedule (and 13 Brit-designed outfits we’ve predicted she’ll wear to each event)

See everything Kate’s worn since her engagement »Feel free to make fun of us, kids. Our Olympics excitement coupled with our usual Kate Middleton freak-outs are going to be particularly out of control for the next three weeks. Alongside Prince William and Prince Harry, Kate’s going to be making a reported 30 Olympic-related appearances over the next few weeks as an Olympic Ambassador, and we’ve got them all tattooed on our foreheads.
Since we’re sure that Kate will wear nothing but Brit wears all Olympics-long, here are some wardrobe predictions for her upcoming appearances.

Kate Middleton looks Olympic-ready in a blue Stella McCartney shift dress

Our favourite royal was out and about this morning, visiting the National Portrait Gallery for the opening of an Olympic-themed photography exhibit. (A perfect event, considering that Kate’s both a patron of the gallery and an Olympic ambassador.)

Kate Middleton lands a magazine cover without even trying! (Er, because it’s a fake)
If it were real, we’d be quite offended that Kate Middleton chose a magazine other than ours for her cover debut. But thankfully, the August issue of Marie Claire South Africa is a clever (though not particularly flattering) illustation. To its credit, the magazine is quite tongue-in-cheek about the whole thing, calling it a “Fan Art Tribute” with an added disclaimer that Kate’s not actually wearing a South African designer—but they wish she would consider doing so. (If you’re curious, the printed dress is by Clive Rundle, and given how different it is from Kate’s usual style we’re unsure if she’ll be calling him up to place an order.)

As if! Kate’s wedding dress (a.k.a. the dress that changed our lives) is deemed “irrelevant” by Wikipedia
Photography by Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images The very thought of debating whether or not Kate Middleton’s wedding dress was important seems ridiculous, but that’s exactly what happened when Wikipedia published an article entitled “Wedding Dress of Kate Middleton” the day of the royal wedding. It was immediately flagged for deletion, and Wikipedia contributors soon got in an uproar on the article’s “talk” page. They called the article trivial and irrelevant, one even going so far as to say:
“The sheer presence of this article is one of the lowest points ever reached by Wikipedia! What amazes me is that there’s acculturatede [sic] people (since the article was well written) who has such interests, and free time to lose to devoted themselves for such totally irrelevant arguments.”

Kate and Pippa wear shades and sport some amazing mid-game expressions at yesterday’s Wimbledon finale
Photography by MavrixPhoto/Keystone The facial expressions! »
View this look in our Kate Middleton slideshow »At yesterday’s Wimbledon final, we were treated to both Middleton sisters sitting courtside in the royal box not only wearing respectively amazing outfits, but also wearing shades AND making some hilarious mid-game facial expressions (Like this one, for example). We rarely see the Duchess donning shades, which could either be because it’s not according to Royal Protocol, or more likely because London is rarely sunny. As such, it’s being reported that the Givenchy pair she sported mid-game actually belong to Pippa! Go figure.
