While the Met’s Savage Beauty exhibit is filled with breathtaking pieces from the late Alexander McQueen, there’s nothing like seeing his creations in motion. While we’d certainly all know this to be true, there was a surprising lack of his dresses on the red carpet, save for a few winning entrances by Sarah Jessica Parker, Karen Elson, Gisele Bündchen and Vogue‘s Hamish Bowles. The inimitable Daphne Guinness didn’t disappoint either, not only dressing in one of the designer’s most fantastical creations, but also giving onlookers a chance to peep her very own collection as she got dressed in Barneys New York‘s store windows.
