Well, it’s official: COS is coming to Canada. For those have been lucky enough to dip into H&M’s sophisticated sister stores in Europe (or most recently in New York), you’ll know all about what that means for your wardrobe. Cutler and Gross’s Toronto store opening: Cool kids throwing shade in 1,200+ kaleidoscopic frames
Those with a sunglasses problem might want to steer clear of Toronto’s new optical candy store—Cutler and Gross might just make you an addict. The decades old British brand has landed on Queen Street West, opening its latest instalment of bright popping eyewear to some serious cool kid fanfare at a party last week. Hosted by The Coveteur’s Jake Rosenberg and Stephanie Mark, the fête saw eyewear enthusiasts like blogger Anita Clarke and the Globe and Mail’s Odessa Paloma Parker throwing some (literal) shade, aided and abetted by Cutler and Gross design director Marie Wilkinson, who flew in for the occasion from London.
It’s a good thing the party was limited to a few hours. Each guest could have easily spent all day long trying on each and every one of the store’s 1,200 models, which include the brand’s quirky collaborations with labels like Giles, Alberta Ferretti and Maison Martin Margiela. But hey, don’t take my word for it. Head on over to 758 Queen Street West in Toronto for your own eye popping experience.

Inside the Express Times Square opening: Robin Thicke performs as partygoers shop spring style
Go inside the Express Times Square store opening »
When you’re opening your largest store to date, it only makes sense to go big or go home. Express, the retail apparel chain that offers a mix of sleek work basics and sexy-meets-stylish casualwear did just that last week. To officially celebrate the launch of their Times Square, New York City location, the store hosted a massive party complete with models, mayhem and a performance by Robin Thicke.
While the bustling Times Square strip became even more busy (fans were lined up hours before the event began, hoping to sneak in for the VIP pre-party mingle) Thicke conducted media interviews on the second floor of the three-story Express. Guests sipped on cocktails and glass straw-adorned bottles of Fiji water, while not-so-subtly sneaking a peek at the singer, who was without his signature shades. (Don’t worry: once the performance started they were back on!) Those less inclined to participate in some light celebrity stalking indulged in shopping, as New York’s almost-spring weather was a perfect match for the breezy dresses, embellished tops and statement accessories on display in the store.

Inside Guerlain’s revamped Toronto boutique: Rare perfumes, hand-painted bottles and a bumble bee-inspired exterior
Go inside Guerlain’s new Toronto boutique »
Legendary French fragrance and beauty brand Guerlain revamped its Toronto boutique just in time for the holiday season. The Bloor Street shop (which originally opened in 2003) has changed both inside and out to offer a more spacious shopping experience based on an architectural vision that came directly from Paris. Notably, the exterior façade has been completely redone, taking inspiration from the brand’s emblem, the imperial bee. The iconic bee perfume bottle—which was designed in 1853 for Guerlain’s Impériale Eau de Cologne—is also featured prominently within the store, including a selection of collector-worthy bottles which are hand-painted with gold detailing.
