A Star Is Born Almost Starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Beyoncé
Here are a few of the questions I asked myself after attending the North American premiere of A Star Is Born at TIFF: Is this the best movie I’ve ever seen? Will Bradley Cooper be the next Clint Eastwood? Could Beyoncé have pulled off what Lady Gaga did in this film? Will I ever stop crying? Little […]

Below, we’ve pulled some of the very best, from Cara Delevingne’s Posh Spice-inspired LBD, to a chocolatey […]

Who Won Day 4 of TIFF 2018? Bradley and Gaga, Of Course
Every year at TIFF, there’s a handful of films that critics and film buffs alike are exceedingly excited to see. And of that handful sometimes there’s one, just one, that overtakes the conversation. This year, that film is A Star is Born. Lady Gaga in her first cinematic lead role! Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut! Bradley […]

Lady Gaga Teases Her Upcoming New Movie, A Star Is Born
We’re going to say it. 2017 is Lady Gaga’s year. After slaying the Victoria’s Secret Angel’s show, defying gravity at the Super Bowl and then blowing our minds at Coachella (while dropping a new single btw), calling Lady Gaga a superstar is probably the understatement of the year. You would think after all that, the […]

How Lady Gaga’s next job is bringing her one step closer to an Oscar
There is no such thing as a steady career in the entertainment business. Nobody knows this more than Lady Gaga. At the tender age of 30, the Italian-American singer/actress has had her fair share of massive Billboard hits (14 No. 1 singles) and career flops (ArtPop). She’s come back from controversies (broken engagements), bad collab […]

The Shortest Celebrity Marriages Ever, Put Into Perspective
People love to hate on Kim Kardashian for her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries back in 2011 (it lasted 72 days, if somehow you have managed to avoid the internet entirely since then and do not know). But it’s not the shortest celebrity marriage ever; in fact, it doesn’t even come close. Celebrities sometimes go […]

Oscars 2015: 15 of the best dressed men on the red carpet
There’s no denying that we have been directing majority of our attention on the ladies on the Oscars 2015 red carpet. But it seems only fair that we shift the focus for a brief moment on the evening’s dapper men. Sure, they may not have been as eye-catching as their significant others, but with all […]

All the juicy details from Lainey Gossip’s 9th annual Smut Soiree
The rain couldn’t keep gossipmongers away from Lainey Gossip’s 9th Annual Smut Soiree. The self appointed Dean of the Faculty of Celebrity Studies opened her dirt discussion, moderated by entertainment reporter Teri Hart, with the promise of “gossip jizz” and we all leaned in (not in the Sheryl Sandberg way), eyes widening. Herewith, the revelatory highlight reel:

TIFF 2012: Which of Jennifer Lawrence’s 3 Katniss-inspired dresses do you like best?
View Jennifer Lawrence’s TIFF looks »
Even IRL, Jennifer Lawrence is the girl on fire. Choosing very different yet equally striking looks for three of her TIFF appearances, looked as if to be playing three Cinna-approved parts. First, it was what we’ll call the District 12 look: At the premiere of A Place Beyond the Pines, Lawrence paired a cobalt blue lace Dior halter dress with a simple cat-eye, and pulled back hair (we can’t confirm a side braid). Then it was what we’ll call the Ceaser Flickerman show look: At her own red carpet premiere for The Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence seriously thrilled in a multi-coloured strapless Dior Couture gown, cranberry lips and straight, side-pinned hair. Earlier today, the actress switched it up once more, in a form-fitting white Antonio Berardi day-dress at press conference alongside co-star Bradley Cooper. On her way to the conference, Jennifer Lawrence was shot wearing oversized Ray-Bans, which amped the city slicker look up a notch further. So, which did you like best?

TIFF 2012: We hung out with Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, Bradley Cooper and Kristen Wiig last night
You better be ready for this jelly because the celebrity meet-cute heavens opened wide at last night’s Hudson Bay Company party for A Place Beyond the Pines at AME. Between myself and editor-in-chief Bernadette Morra, we had Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes and Kristen Wiig in our clutches and the world could not have felt more balanced.
But let’s get acquainted with the soiree particulars: As waiters in Hudson Bay striped T-shirts passed hors d’oeuvres and bubbly, the stars (which also included Bradley Cooper, no big deal), the Bay’s big wigs Bonnie Brooks and Suzanne Timmins and a tight-knit group of editors and gossip experts—which included National Post’s Shinan Govani and Nathalie Atkinson, eTalk’s Elaine Lui and the Toronto Star’s Derrick Chetty—held court at the back of the lavish club.
Eva Mendes sat perched, looking truly resplendent in a black and grey lace-y Dolce & Gabbana dress, chandelier earrings and pointed black heels. Complete with half-turban headpiece, the actress looked as if to be plucked straight from the duo’s Sicilian-inspired Fall 2012 collection. After ordering a cocktail/Red Bull/water with one breath, Eva Mendes and I shared our love for the collection, turbans, and Ryan Gosling (okay, that last one never happened).

OMGOOP! The full list of the stars coming to TIFF 2012 (plus, what we’re daring ourselves to say to them)
Celebspotters, you’re in for another doozy of a year with a knockout A list of Hollywood heavyweights hitting Toronto for this year’s edition of TIFF. Since we’d rather not bore you with superfluous details like why they’re coming and what they’re working on, we’re just giving you the long and impressive list of who’s coming and what we’d like to (but may chicken out and not) say to them, should we cozy up to them at an intimate gathering.

TIFF 2012: Who might be coming to town (Gwyneth! Keira! Gosling!) and and 10 designer picks for what they should wear on the red carpet
Read on to see the predictions! »
With a mere 44 days left until the annual Toronto International Film Festival begins again, the full list of films (not to mention their star-studded casts) has finally been released to the public. From the highly anticipated time-travelling mobster flick Looper to the visually decadent retelling of Anna Karenina, this year’s TIFF lineup sounds like a film buff’s dream come true. Of course, as fashion-inclined folk, we’re almost as excited about seeing what the stars will be wearing on the red carpet come September 6 as we are the films.
