TIFF 2013: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlett Johansson close out Grey Goose Soho House with pizza and cocktails

It’s impossible to talk about Joseph Gordon-Levitt without compromising myself as an even slightly serious journalist. He’s hot. I’m crushing. Das it. At Grey Goose Soho House’s last TIFF 2013 bash, I creeped JGL heavily for the second year in a row. And by that I mean stared longingly, then went home and YouTube’d his makeout scenes like a boss.
Arriving just after 9PM, Levitt settled into a corner on the first floor with co-star Scarlett Johansson and several well-suited gents. He looked pretty composed, given the mad dash he’d made earlier that evening, but why would he not. He’s JGL, and these girls feel me. Holding court with said group for most of the night snacking on pizza and toasting with the House’s signature TIFF vodka cocktails, the co-stars looked pretty chillaxed, and stayed till around midnight. Till next TIFF, BB!

TIFF 2013: Scarlett Johansson signs autographs while Joseph Gordon-Levitt runs laps around the Don Jon red carpet

Running or walking, Joseph Gordon Levitt is hot. At the TIFF 2013 premiere of his directorial debut Don Jon, the multi-talented actor did a speedy lap to greet fans before entering the Princess of Wales Theatre for the screening. And while he may not have arrived on time, he certainly did so in style, wearing a slim pinstripe suit with and accenting plaid tie. Whatta guy.

TIFF 2013: The full list of the stars coming to town (plus, how we may embarrass ourselves in front of them)
It’s here! After about a month of speculation since the Toronto International Film Festival first announced its roster of films, a list of attendees has been released through the festival’s Pinterest page and it’s A-list enough to get your stalking senses tingling. We ain’t even going to try to hide the fact that we become extraordinary (but elegant) creeps during TIFF, so without further ado, here’s our game plan for approaching the biggest and best stars at TIFF 2013.

TIFF 2013: 12 stars who might be coming to town and what we hope they’ll be wearing
From the royal baby to impending celebrity sighting, this week’s awesome newsreel just won’t stop. Yesterday, TIFF announced the first batch of films to be premiered at TIFF 2013 and as you can imagine, the list is already A-lister stacked. Since we have no shame when it comes to being starstruck, we’e okay with telling you that we’re already way more than a little bit excited to see what our favourite stars wear on the red carpet (and IRL, if we’re lucky!) when it’s game time.
In addition to the babeular list of studs that includes Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, James Franco, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Adam Levine and Chris Hemsworth, the ladies expected are pretty cray! Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock are just three! Shwing!
So without further ado, let’s make believe what 12 of TIFF 2013’s most hopeful attendees will be wearing to the festival’s premieres. Let’s make it happen!

TIFF 2012: Jennifer Lawrence hung out with Kristen Stewart at the Soho House last night (Jake Gyllenhaal, Kate Hudson and Andy Samberg were there too!)
See the Soho House party photos »
As per usual, the Grey Goose Soho House was hoppin’ and poppin’ with celebs last night, as the staple spot hosted private parties for The Reluctant Fundamentalist, End of Watch and Silver Linings Playbook. Kate Hudson, in a Gwyneth-at-the-Oscars-esque white floor-length Atelier Versace dress, mingled pre-The Reluctant Fundamentalist red carpet. The bearded and babeular Jake Gyllenhaal popped by too, to toast his film End of Watch alongside Anna Kendrick and America Ferrera (who is really looking great these days, we might add).
At that point, it was still early and the celebs in attendance were all chatting up their co-stars and pals. But then Jennifer Lawrence showed up, and completely flipped the celebs-who-are-friends continuum on its head when she, in a body-hugging scale-like dress, started chatting to none other than Kristen Stewart! Could Katniss and Bella be new BFFs? Could a Twilight-meets-The Hunger Games movie be in the works? Are we taking this too far? Maybe. Kristen Stewart, who seemed to have shaken Thursday night’s glamazon look, was back to her usual jeans-and-t-shirt pairing. As an equally awesome addition to the mix: Jennifer Lawrence’s parents Gary and Karen Lawrence were also in attendance at the Soho House to toast their daughter’s TIFF premiere.

TIFF 2012: Bruce Willis, Joseph-Gordon Levitt and Emily Blunt toast Looper at the Grey Goose Soho House and Lot 580
After weeks of having Soho House Toronto membership papers sitting on my desk, I daresay last night’s first TIFF foray into the newly minted spot is making it mighty hard to turn down. Beyond a British gent-held velvet rope, the old timey Soho House décor complete with antique mirrors, a wide marble staircase, floor-to-ceiling Grey Goose bottles was in full swing and last night, the cast of Looper was there too. Just before midnight, the stars of the future/past/present time travel action flick showed up on masse to toast the film’s TIFF premiere with vodka cocktails (last year’s Le Fizz is back for another round alongside new additions like a Toronto-inspired tea) and miniature foods. Bruce Willis held court in a cozy little corner nook while Joseph-Gordon Levitt chatted with PRs, pals and…not me. Tidbits for crushing ladies like me? He has a really nice tan, he’s not as tall as you’d imagine but still perfectly babeular in stature and friends call him Joe. (I would have gone for Joey, JGL, or event the full on Joseph-Gordon Levitt, but hey).

OMGOOP! The full list of the stars coming to TIFF 2012 (plus, what we’re daring ourselves to say to them)
Celebspotters, you’re in for another doozy of a year with a knockout A list of Hollywood heavyweights hitting Toronto for this year’s edition of TIFF. Since we’d rather not bore you with superfluous details like why they’re coming and what they’re working on, we’re just giving you the long and impressive list of who’s coming and what we’d like to (but may chicken out and not) say to them, should we cozy up to them at an intimate gathering.

TIFF 2012: Who might be coming to town (Gwyneth! Keira! Gosling!) and and 10 designer picks for what they should wear on the red carpet
Read on to see the predictions! »
With a mere 44 days left until the annual Toronto International Film Festival begins again, the full list of films (not to mention their star-studded casts) has finally been released to the public. From the highly anticipated time-travelling mobster flick Looper to the visually decadent retelling of Anna Karenina, this year’s TIFF lineup sounds like a film buff’s dream come true. Of course, as fashion-inclined folk, we’re almost as excited about seeing what the stars will be wearing on the red carpet come September 6 as we are the films.

TIFF red carpet: We talk BFFs with Seth Rogen at the 50/50 premiere
At the premiere of 50/50, the Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen comedy that takes something depressing—Levitt’s character gets diagnosed with cancer—and makes it funny. Rogen, as his goofy best friend, helps him navigate the diagnosis, which gives him a 50 per cent chance of surviving. On the red carpet, fans (mostly female) had DVDs of 300 Days of Summer waiting for a signature from JGL, but since he was the last of the cast to arrive, they got a lot more love from his co-stars Anna Kendrick (in a poofy teal dress that felt more prom than Oscar-nom) and Bryce Dallas Howard (taking maternity style and the humid day by storm in a flowing maxi dress).
