Media in Trump’s America: The Film Industry’s Dystopian Take
The thin-skinned once and future reality-TV star wandering around the White House has hijacked 2017. An endless stream of controversial policies and obnoxious remarks directed at women, immigrants, Muslims, Mexicans, LGBTQ people and countless others has triggered a concerted anti-Trump creative resistance. In times like these, some escapist entertainment would totally be justified, but if […]

We Sat Down With Rebecca Hall to Talk About Her Role in Christine
Every so often there’s a role that comes along that changes the trajectory of an actor’s career. Thirty-four-year-old British actor Rebecca Hall has been fortunate enough to have this happen twice. First, she wowed audiences and earned a Golden Globe nod playing the beautiful but practical Vicky opposite Scarlett Johansson’s free-spirited Cristina in 2008’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona. […]

The week in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best-dressed list
A little black dress is a popular choice when it comes to red carpet events (see: Salma Hayek in Balenciaga and Cate Blanchett in Carl Kapp) or in Rebecca Hall’s case, a little black Prada. However, with only a months left of summer (cue the tears), the little white dress is competing for top honours. […]

We ain’t even going to try to hide the fact that we become extraordinary (but elegant) creeps during TIFF, so without further ado, here’s our game plan for approaching the biggest and best stars at TIFF 2013.

Zoe Saldana vs. January Jones: Who wore it best in Miu Miu’s Fall 2013 front row?
See Miu Miu’s Fall 2013 front row »
Paris Fashion Week Fall 2013 is drawing to a close, and what better way to end the week than with another stellar runway presentation from Miu Miu? The label is increasingly becoming a red carpet mainstay (see: Kerry Washington’s Oscar dress last month), so it should come as no surprise that the front row at today’s Miu Miu show was a who’s who of Hollywood’s It-girls.
With stars like Renée Zellweger, Lea Seydoux, and Rebecca Hall in attendance, Miu Miu’s front row was like a mini fashion show all on its own. In particular, all eyes were on January Jones and Zoe Saldana who wowed us in their head to toe Miu Miu looks.

Front Row Battles: From Emma Stone and Dianna Agron at Miu Miu to Lana Del Rey and Alexa Chung at Mulberry, who did Spring 2013 FROW best?
Check out our front row pictures from Spring 2013 Fashion Week! »
Front row seating at the Spring 2013 Fashion Week collections has been an exciting who’s-who jumble of predictable favourites and amazing surprises this year.
Miu Miu’s Spring 2013 collection was presented today in Paris, with Glee’s Dianna Agron front and centre of the It girl mélage that came to check out Miuccia’s latest creations. Looking quite mod, she wore a ‘60s look of a turquoise dress, blue heels and purple tights, all by Miu Miu. Dianna Agron was seen with actress Amanda Seyfried who was wearing a Prada suit, Emma Stone and Felicity Jones both in Miu Miu and fashion week fixture and designer herself Chloë Sevigny. The girls looked like they were about star in the brand’s latest campaign, although Sevigny can already boast about that.

TIFF poll: Who wore it best? Rachel Weisz and Rebecca Hall in duelling jumpsuits
We’ve got another hot battle on our hands today on Who Wore it Best?: Jumpsuit edition. Rebecca Hall is back for another round of judgment on her red YSL number, but this time we’re having her face off against Rachel Weisz, who wore a creamy vintage jumpsuit to last night’s premiere of The Whistleblower. Does Hall’s look (which, for the record, we liked–ignoring the somewhat ill-fitting bustier top) fare better here, or does Weisz’s stab at relaxed glam come out on top?

TIFF poll: Do you like the jumpsuit Rebecca Hall wore to The Town premiere?
At first we thought Rebecca Hall was wearing a flowing, strapless dress to premiere of The Town last night. [See all the looks on the red carpet.] Then we realized she’s actually got on a flowing, strapless jumpsuit, from the YSL Resort 2011 collection to be precise. Do you like it?

TIFF red carpet: Jon Hamm, Blake Lively and Jennifer Garner at The Town premiere
Like rare bird, Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm has become one of the more coveted celebrity sightings at this year’s TIFF. (We haven’t spotted him yet, but have been swooning vicariously.) Hamm is in TO to support Ben Affleck‘s The Town, which premiered last night. Also on the red carpet were Hamm’s co-stars Blake Lively, who […]
