TIFF 2013: The full list of the stars coming to town (plus, how we may embarrass ourselves in front of them)
It’s here! After about a month of speculation since the Toronto International Film Festival first announced its roster of films, a list of attendees has been released through the festival’s Pinterest page and it’s A-list enough to get your stalking senses tingling. We ain’t even going to try to hide the fact that we become extraordinary (but elegant) creeps during TIFF, so without further ado, here’s our game plan for approaching the biggest and best stars at TIFF 2013.

TIFF 2013: 12 stars who might be coming to town and what we hope they’ll be wearing
From the royal baby to impending celebrity sighting, this week’s awesome newsreel just won’t stop. Yesterday, TIFF announced the first batch of films to be premiered at TIFF 2013 and as you can imagine, the list is already A-lister stacked. Since we have no shame when it comes to being starstruck, we’e okay with telling you that we’re already way more than a little bit excited to see what our favourite stars wear on the red carpet (and IRL, if we’re lucky!) when it’s game time.
In addition to the babeular list of studs that includes Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, James Franco, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Adam Levine and Chris Hemsworth, the ladies expected are pretty cray! Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock are just three! Shwing!
So without further ado, let’s make believe what 12 of TIFF 2013’s most hopeful attendees will be wearing to the festival’s premieres. Let’s make it happen!

TIFF 2012: Elle Fanning, Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson all wore three-piece pantsuits last night
See the TIFF pantsuits in full »
Looks like some A-listers were doing their Fall 2012 trend research: Pantsuits are big for fall. At last night’s premiere of Ginger & Rosa, fashion plate du jour Elle Fanning donned a head-to-toe Miu Miu Fall 2012 geometric-print suit straight from the runway complete with bottle green heeled oxfords. Later that night the Soho House, both Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson donned similarly-inspired suits (sans the hexagons, of course). So who wore it best? We know there’s really only one answer but…

TIFF 2012: Keira Knightley wears Elie Saab couture on the Anna Karenina red carpet
See our full gallery from the Anna Karenina TIFF red carpet! »
The much-anticipated TIFF premiere of Anna Karenina took place on Friday night and Keira Knightley and Jude Law walked the red carpet in outfits that were almost as opulent as the costumes from the film itself. For Keira Knightley, this meant an impeccable haute couture Elie Saab dress from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection—certainly one of the top fashion moments from TIFF so far.

TIFF 2012: Keira Knightley, Nina Dobrev, Amy Adams, Jude Law and many (many) more celebs spotted at Grey Goose Soho House
It was another doozy of a night at the Grey Goose Soho House last night, with TIFF celebs upon TIFF celebs upon TIFF celebs showing up en masse to toast their various premieres, presentations and pals. As the official after party spot for Anna Karenina, Soho House’s first megawatt guest was Keira Knightley. Flawless in a black sheer lace-y floor-length Elie Saab gown, it was said that her every move was swanlike, and we believe it. Co-stars Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (alongside his May-December love, director and photographer Sam Taylor-Wood) channelled their period costumes, both wearing three-piece suits. Though there isn’t photo evidence of Matthew MacFayden’s wears, we’ll have an imaginary vision of him in period-inspired attire as well. We’ll also imagine his Mr. Darcy coif intact.

They said/We said: We weigh in on the Kate Moss vs. Charlene Wittstock weekend wedding battle
We didn’t think it was possible to rival the buzz around the royal nuptials (or the buzz around the royal visit, either), but this weekend in Europe, a double wedding of sorts pegged supermodel Kate Moss and former Olympic athlete Charlene Wittstock against Kate and Will in the battle for the biggest wedding of the year. Here’s everything you need to know about Mosstock and the wedding we like to call the Monaco Magnificence.
Moss married Jamie Hince of the Kills on July 1, at St. Peter’s Parish in Southrop. Confirming rumours, the supermodel made a controversial decision by wearing a custom-made sheer, bias-cut John Galliano dress, while Hince opted for a couple of Yves Saint Laurent tuxedos by Stefano Pilati. After the ceremony, the couple hosted a weekend-long reception at Moss’s nearby home. The fashionable guests included Anna Wintour, Jude Law, and Daphne Guinness, as well as a surprise appearance by Galliano (what was on his acid tongue, we would love to know). Stella McCartney also designed three outfits for the bride, including the white pantsuit she sported as she left for her honeymoon on a helicopter. Very Bianca Jagger, if we may say so.
Wittstock chose an off the shoulder, beaded Armani Privé gown for her big day. The ceremony took place at the medieval palace of Monaco and was said to be more formal than Moss’s the day before. Naomi Campbell managed to make it to both events, with outfit changes to boot. Karl Lagerfeld, on the other hand, chose to attend the royal affair, as did Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and Karolina Kurkova. Despite the gossip that Wittstock attempted to leave her fiancé, Prince Albert of Monaco, after learning of his third illegitimate child, the event went on as planned and ended with a heartfelt speech from the prince to his new wife.

Fashion news: Balmain hair extensions, Ungaro up for sale and Lady Gaga to design sunglasses?
We read something today that we still haven’t fully absorbed: You can get Balmain hair extensions. We assume these aren’t Christophe Decarnin-designed, but instead one of the company’s many licenses. (Check out this DIY Balmain jeans from Auntie Fashion, created using a $5 Balmain men’s dress shirt from Sears.) You can buy clip-in purple or red fringe and extensions in “Level 10” blonde. Emanuel Ungaro keeps taking hit after hit. After the LiLo debacle and closing down it’s massive Madison Avenue boutique (which rumour has it will be taken over by Michael Kors), the brand is now apparently on the hunt for a buyer to take over its debt and tainted rep. Any takers? [NYP]
