If you’ve ever wanted an excuse to be pushed up against Jason Bateman‘s chest, last night’s party for Bad Words was the place to be. Held in the James Perse Boutique, the minimalist Yorkville shop reached maximum capacity to celebrate the film’s TIFF premiere—which, based on the tweets of fans and critics alike, is sure to be the next big dark comedic hit. (And also the reason why the film’s producers spent just as much time outside the party closing deals as they did inside enjoying the Mexican-themed drinks and treats.)

What’s in your bag, Katie Boland?
See what’s inside Katie Boland’s bag »
Katie Boland ranks high on our list of young Canadians worth keeping an eye on. In the past few years the Toronto-based actress had made waves with notable roles including one alongside Kat Dennings in the 2010 flick Daydream Nation and in her own web series Long Story, Short (which she wrote and co-produced, by the way). The striking brunette, who has much to be excited about with a role on the new CW series Reign, stopped by our offices to give us an uncensored look at what she carries in her everyday bag. A self-professed iPhone addict, who admits she can’t live without eyeliner and is constantly on the hunt for the perfect red lipstick, is refreshingly down to earth and surprisingly low-maintenance (lipstick, Visa and phone is all that she brings with her to red carpet events). We got up close and personal with Boland’s must-have items as she let us peruse through her purse.

TIFF 2012: Keira Knightley, Nina Dobrev, Amy Adams, Jude Law and many (many) more celebs spotted at Grey Goose Soho House
It was another doozy of a night at the Grey Goose Soho House last night, with TIFF celebs upon TIFF celebs upon TIFF celebs showing up en masse to toast their various premieres, presentations and pals. As the official after party spot for Anna Karenina, Soho House’s first megawatt guest was Keira Knightley. Flawless in a black sheer lace-y floor-length Elie Saab gown, it was said that her every move was swanlike, and we believe it. Co-stars Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (alongside his May-December love, director and photographer Sam Taylor-Wood) channelled their period costumes, both wearing three-piece suits. Though there isn’t photo evidence of Matthew MacFayden’s wears, we’ll have an imaginary vision of him in period-inspired attire as well. We’ll also imagine his Mr. Darcy coif intact.
