Twenty minutes before I sat down for dinner last night, I found myself personally attacked. A seemingly harmless Instagram DM, my best friend and fellow pink enthusiast shared a photo of Gen Z superstar Olivia Rodrigo at the White House. Dressed in a vintage Chanel tweed ensemble, the message that followed from my friend was […]

I was six-years-old the first time I saw Cats. It was both mesmerizing and traumatizing: as Grizabella sang “Memory,” I sobbed so powerfully, I’m sure the cats could hear me from my seat in the mezzanine. When my mother asked what was wrong, I had a hard time explaining my tears. I wasn’t hurt, I […]
It’s Friday, fashion friends, and we are here to kick-start your weekend with a roundup of the best of celebrity Instagram fashion. Victoria’s Secret gave us a glimpse of what to expect on their runway with a fresh crop of models as well as some familiar faces. New mom Candice Swanepoel was laced in stars […]
Kendall Jenner brought the sweet—and the heat—on Valentine’s Day. Currently in New York for fashion week, the 21-year-old mega model took time out of her beyond-busy schedule for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night. Wearing a red tweed Chanel look featuring a cropped jacket and a matching micro mini […]
The bandana has long been a go-to accessory and it pops in and out of mainstream culture like a fashionable friend you only catch up with every couple of years. The ’90s was the bandana’s heyday, and artists like 2Pac and Aaliyah will be forever synonymous with the accessory. Of course, the rest of us followed in […]
Clueless is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year (that’s 4 years older than Cher was in the movie, just for a little perspective) and we thought what better way to celebrate than to finally answer the question every girl has been dying to know since 1995: Which Cher Horowitz outfit are you? From the iconic […]
There’s no question that films these days are playing a large role in the fashion and beauty industry (think Net-A-Porter x Hunger Games and M.A.C x Maleficent). So it’s kind of expected to see us all regularly channeling our favourite film heroines, especially when these collaborations make it so easy to cop. And who doesn’t want to borrow some of that leading lady confidence? While rocking our favourite movie looks is usually saved for Halloween, that doesn’t mean we can’t try to incorporate movie-inspired hair and makeup in our everyday lives. So this week, we asked Beauty Panel to do just that. From Katniss Everdeen’s much-coveted braid to Cher Horowitz’s ‘90s hair and makeup, Beauty Panel members are showing off their favourite movie-inspired beauty looks they’re rocking all year round.
If you’ve watched Clueless a few too many times on Netflix (which, by the way, is impossible), relive the magic with Wildfox’s Spring 2013 lookbook inspired by the film. Aptly named “Kids in America,” the editorial answers a firm “neither!” to Cher Horowitz’s “Do you prefer “fashion victim’ or ‘ensembly challenged?”
The Los Angeles-based brand has taken the culture gem straight out of 1995 and into 2013 with new takes on graphic T-shirts, Cher’s iconic red dress and plaid school girl skirts. Our favourite looks and moments from Clueless have been recreated in a completely shoppable way, so needless to say we’re excited.
Wildfox designer Kimberley Gordon wanted to pay homage to Clueless director Amy Heckerling, saying “I was about 12 around when Clueless came out and I was so in love with the characters, I didn’t just love the clothes, I loved the girls who wore the clothes – which made me want to wear them even more” on her site.
We might have just three official days of summer left, but there’s no reason to let it end without a party. Whether you’re celebrating Labour Day from a dock, patio or park, we have a playlist that will take you through the whole long weekend. We’re talking Frank Ocean slow jams, The Wanted’s boy band […]
