See the Fall 2014 must-haves »
Paris Fashion Week came to a close for Fall 2014 yesterday with the last step strutted down the Hermès runway. With hotly anticipated designer debuts (for the record, Nicolas Ghesquiere knocked it out of the park at Louis Vuitton), celebrity-studded front rows (Rihanna made the rounds), splashy parties and a little luxe grocery shopping thrown in for good measure, it was a week filled with memorable moments. As FASHION‘s market editor, my eye is constantly scanning for the must-have items we’ll want to fill our closets with come fall. In that spirit, here is my Paris-inspired edit of the top 10 pieces to add to your shopping list when ushering in the next season.

Christmas Gift Ideas For Women: 101 luxe options to thrill so many of the ladies on your list
View all of our Christmas
gift ideas for women »Somehow, shopping for the leading ladies in our lives often proves to be the hardest. The challenge for Christmas gift ideas is to be creative, on trend, and meaningful—not the easiest task, but a necessary one. If you’re shopping for your girlfriend, wife, sister or mother, it’s essential to make the gift matter and worth every penny spent.
For Christmas 2012, we’ve dreamt of all things lavish and luxe that can double as a satisfaction to a women’s fashion craving as well as functional piece in her every day life and they are anything but traditional. We know that diamonds have been declared a girl’s best friend, but this year we’re thinking outside of the little blue box and selecting gifts that show creativity. We’ve opted for lush fur pieces that will keep her warm all winter, geometric shaped cuffs that will reinvent the arm party, and even a onsesie that just begs to be taken to a ski resort. These are the pieces that will win a woman’s heart.

It looks like Sarah Jessica Parker is bringing a little bit of her Carrie Bradshaw style to Glee
To be perfectly honest, we kind of fell off the Glee wagon last season, mostly because Lea Michele’s character started to get just a tad too annoying. But after Ryan Murphy revealed earlier this month that none other than Sarah Jessica Parker would be guest starring on the show for its fourth season, we’re definitely back on board.

Delfina Delettrez’s jewellery designs are so rad that they’ve got their own Pitti exhibit!
At the tender age of 24, Delfina Delettrez, a fourth generation daughter of the Fendi family, is being honoured with an exhibition of her surrealistic jewellery in Florence, as part of the Pitti celebrations.
Curated by Emanuela Nobile Mino and spanning four rooms of the historical Galleria Antonella Villanova in Palazzo Ricasoli, Delphinarium (through September 10) features ten of the jeweller’s collections, ranging from the anatomy-heavy Anatomik to the machine-inspired Roll-in-Stones collection. Delettrez’s pieces are nothing if not bold, and the designer draws on the strong women in her lineage (Silvia Venturini, Fendi’s accessories director, is her mother, while Adele Fendi, the fashion house’s founder, is her great-grandmother) for inspiration.

PFW diary: All things sparkle-y at Delfina Delettrez and Swarovski
It wouldn’t be Paris fashion week without a few sparklers thrown into the mix.
First up: Delfina Delettrez. This jewellery designer is a fourth generation Fendi (yes, that Fendi) woman. She’s the daughter of Silvia Venturini Fendi—the accessories director at this famous luxury house—and Bernard Delettrez, the French jeweler. (Clearly, this French darling has quite the sparkling lineage.) Family jewels aside, Delettrez has her own eponymous line of couture-worthy baubles (many are one-of-a-kind) that blends goth with modern. From sinister-looking skulls to whimsical creatures (a few seasons back there was a pig ring that caused a few snorts), these fantastical creations are a feast for the eyes. Her current collection was showcased on wigs that rival Marge Simpson’s signature towering ‘do. Paging, Nicki Minaj!
