The scoop (and pictures!) from Rachel Zoe’s visit to Vancouver’s Holt Renfrew
Big deal, small-boned stylist Rachel Zoe hit Holt Renfrew in Vancouver on Thursday afternoon to show off some of her Marianne Faithfull-fueled Fall 2012 collection for fans.
In Q&A with Holts’ Barbara Atkin, Zoe said the last time she visited Vancouver she was 16 years-old and came to go camping. A cloud of consternation came over the crowd, but that cleared up as soon as she admitted she “dressed very inappropriately” in platform shoes with piles of jewellery. Ah, that’s more like the Zoe we know.

Inside Calgary’s T’was the Night shopping extravaganza: Chantal Kreviazuk, Lainey Gossip, and partygoers in ballgowns (at the mall)
T’was the Night we dressed in our finest holiday attire for a fully-fledged mall party to celebrate the multimillion dollar TD Square/Holt Renfrew renovations at Calgary’s CORE Shopping Centre. The CORE lit up indoor fireworks and a 45-foot tree, sprinkled fluffy fake snow from the balconies, and a threw a mini concert with Canadian songstress Chantal Kreviazuk, all on top of some lofty holiday sales and prizes.
Greeting guests on the red carpet was the queen of smut, Elaine Lui of Lainey Gossip and eTalk, who posed for fan photos in a form-fitting, blue and white Yigal Azrouël number. The belle of the mall-ball, however, was Kreviazuk, who got pampered at Eveline Charles before taking the stage in a whimsical, feathered Paul Hardy gown, and later, at the VIP lounge, where she signed autographs and posed for photos with Mr. Hardy himself.

Q&A: ETalk’s Tanya Kim talks TIFF essentials, best dressed and holding hands with Brad Pitt
When skimming through TIFF coverage on most mediums, what you can’t see is the dark circles under the reporters’ eyes, caffeine stained teeth and, depending on what you’re reading, hints of a champagne hangover. Red carpet reporters like ETalk‘s Tanya Kim are on camera all the time, so they don’t have the luxury of invisibility. We had a chance to catch up with her over email on how she keeps it fresh during TIFF, who she’s excited to interview and her red carpet wardrobe.
What will you be doing this year for the festival? “I will be hosting Etalk every day, as well as interviewing stars when they visit our Joe Fresh Style etalk Celebrity Interview Lounge at the Intercontinental Hotel, catching up with celebs at their premieres and galas, BBMing fans and curiosity seekers, tweeting, and slipping in some “off duty” fun at various parties if there’s time (and energy!)” left over.
