Samantha Jones and the Anatomy of a Comeback Look
Much has been made of the Samantha Jones-sized hole in And Just Like That…. The fan-favourite Sex and the City character, played incomparably by Kim Cattrall, has been famously absent from the series’s polarizing revival — and it’s a loss that weighs heavy throughout the show. But in the season 2 finale, for 74 glorious seconds, […]

6 Canadian Actors We’re Excited to See On Our Screens This Year
Arguably, the best part about a new year is all the movies and TV shows you can look forward to watching. As someone who tends to work a lot, the fictional on-screen world is my favourite form of escapism — and over the years, I’ve become quite the film and TV buff. I love to […]

Inside last night’s Picasso opening gala at the AGO: Nude models, bright couches and Kim Cattrall!
Last night, the Art Gallery of Ontario was filled with some of the country’s grandest doyens and doyennes (Mulroney! Eaton! Weston!) for the official kick off to the gallery’s Picasso exhibit, which opens to the public next Tuesday, May 1. Infusing the Gehry-designed space with a bit of Barcelona-meets-Paris flavour, the room was decked out with brightly-hued bohemian essentials, which were certainly not limited to the nude models being sketched (in Pablo’s famed style, of course) in plain view. At the centre of it all? Kim Cattrall, looking as va-va-voom as ever in a printed tie-neck blouse, and slimmer-than-slim black pants. If only Samantha had been there to make an off colour nakie remark…

5 beauty tips from Kim Cattrall
Last night, the 3rd Annual P&G Beauty & Grooming Awards, which recognizes fashion and beauty editorial work in Canada, was held at the Carlu in Toronto. Kim Cattrall played the role of graceful emcee, and we were pleased to be called to stage not once but twice. Our fashion director Susie Sheffman won for best fashion editor, and this very site took the award for best beauty or fashion website!
However, that’s not all we went home with. Before the show, we sat down with Cattrall and uncovered a few of her favourite beauty tips and tricks:

Fashion news: Oscar de la Renta calls couture “irrelevant,” the Kaiser collects an award and Victoria Beckham to design for Beyoncé
Oscar de la Renta claims that the days of women sporting couture are done, saying, “Couture has become completely irrelevant. Customers are smart. They know that a $10,000 wedding dress will look as beautiful as a $1 million wedding dress. Maybe it will not be finished the same way inside, but who will know?” Touché. [The Cut]
The entire cast and crew of SATC 2 are tight-lipped when it comes to the plot of the film; but after allegedly signing a confidentiality agreement which could cost them up to about $2.5 million if they slip any details, who wouldn’t be?! Kim Cattrall had a close call after being photographed holding the script with a few of the words visible, saying after, “I thought: “You have got to be kidding! This isn’t state secrets, it’s the f****** script for a movie!” It’s crazy. You really have to be careful because I’ve signed my life away to say I won’t tell. It gets to the point where you’re terrified to carry your script around in case someone catches a glimpse of it.” [Vogue UK]
