A beginner’s guide to dragon’s blood: 7 beauty products you need to put on your face right now
Let’s talk about dragon’s blood. You know, the stuff you throw in your potions to cast spells on ex-boyfriends. Turns out it’s also great for your skin! I’m going to be on some long-haul flights this summer and want to know how to prevent my lips from drying out and flaking. Any pointers?
Determining a steadfast method of avoiding full-fledged plane dehydration has been my objective for quite some time now! First, keep up on your fluids (which also means avoiding alcohol and caffeine) and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Then, bring in the heavy artillery: Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil ($49, sephora.ca). Who’s next? The Bay continues its raid of Toronto talent
By Randi Bergman and Meagan Wilson
Bonnie Brooks’ reinvigoration of the Hudson’s Bay Company, and the flagship’s St. Regis Room in particular (now simply called The Room), has brought hot design names like Proenza Schouler, Thakoon and Erdem well south of Bloor Street. Factor in buzzy in-store appearances—with the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, virtually every British designer worth mentioning, and Anna Dello Russo (who will descend with street-style phenom Tommy Ton on April 20)—and Toronto officially has a new nexus of chic.

Murale puts beauty on display
Beauty babes ’round town have been abuzz since Shoppers Drug Mart’s upscale cosmetic mecca Murale finally landed in Toronto (we’ve had to wait patiently as locations opened in Ottawa and Montreal first) the first week of September at the Shops at Don Mills. Upon entering the store at the media event, I was instantly drawn like a moth to a flame to the Nars display where a nail polish by the name of “M. Butterfly” was calling my name….
