Old Montreal is sizzling these days. Whether  it’s for cinq-à-sept cocktails, gallery-hopping  or moonlit dinners, I often find myself there and invariably my credit card gets a workout.

In today’s John Galliano chronicles? Isaac Mizrahi becomes one of the few designers to outright condemn him, [The Cut] meanwhile Holts and The Bay aren’t the only major retailers who have  stopped promoting or even pulled Galliano⎯Saks Fifth Avenue has as well. [Styleite]

Topshop fanatics and Anglophiles alike rejoice!

1. There are some serious fashion peeps finding themselves in the second row: Lynn Yaeger, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Kate Lanphear, Derek Blasberg. Okay, maybe they’re not all that serious, but they’re all used to A1 treatment. Wonder how they feel about their industry fame being subjugated to Hollywood fame at a fashion show?

I’d be dead certain the Topshop Unique show was inspired by my Halloween costume, Cruella de Vil, had it not also been… Lady Gaga‘s Halloween costume. In any case, it was a Cruella, Cruella world at Old Billingsgate Market, this year’s expansive Topshop venue.

Emma Roberts attended the Lanvin x H&M “haute couture” spectacle last night [See a gallery of the show] in her own version of high/low. The actress wore a grey bandeau dress from Topshop, which she she cinched with a navy blue Hermès belt. What do you think of this slate grey look? Vote after the jump.

Velvet is all over the fall fashion pages, and stripes will be all over the spring ones. This T-shirt from Topshop ($80, jonathanandolivia.com) is a light, modern and sophisticated way to wear both.

Topshop calls these the “Skinny Ellie Trousers” ($85, us.topshop.com). Based on the name alone, I would choose them as a Steal (though the E at the end is unnecessary, I think), but I also love all the intricate moto details–perfect for a rock and roll ensemble.
