I feel like most serums I come across are meant for anti-aging purposes. Does anything exist for acne-prone skin?
Anti-aging skincare accounts for a significant proportion of the products available on the market, and we’re always told it’s never too early to start exploring the options available to us. However, when you’re preoccupied with acne concerns, it can seem like every advanced product out there is for anti-aging. Not so! If you’re going to get schooled on oats then it might as well be from Jennifer Aniston. Yes, you read that correctly, oats. Did you think I was going to say yoga? A chatty and upbeat Aniston, brand ambassador for Aveeno, spoke to us exclusively from Los Angeles about “The Beauty of Nature,” a four-video series she narrates which highlight the ingredients used in the brand’s skincare.

The first one, “Oat for Your Skin,” which celebrates the nifty little grain full of antioxidants, enzymes, lipids, proteins and vitamins that are vital for healthy skin, debuts today. As Aniston explains, the videos offer a behind the scenes look at the beginnings of an Aveeno product. “It’s an informative journey of the product and how it goes from the farm into the bottle.”

Jennifer Aniston has always been committed to health and advocating for eco-friendly products, so it is no surprise that the former Friends actress has signed a deal to be the new face of Aveeno skincare.

Rumours of the partnership have been swirling since last summer, but the deal was confirmed today by E! News. (An odd outlet for a beauty exclusive but we’ll take it!) Aniston’s rep said that the actress will be partnering with Aveeno specifically for skincare and indicated that we will likely be seeing the results of the collaboration later this year.
