Toronto’s ultimate summer music party took place last night outside the streets of MuchMusic’s Queen Street headquarters. As the A-listers made their way down the red carpet, hundreds of fans greeted and snapped pictures of their favourite actors, artists and South Korean sensation Psy, who made his first Canadian appearance as MMVA co-host.

In her first MMVA appearance, Taylor Swift played the bombshell in a form fitting white mini-dress with black striped details by Herve Leger and Christian Louboutin black gladiator sandals as she picked up the award for favourite international artist. T-Swift accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira jewellery as well as her signature red pout, smoky eyes and effortlessly tousled beach waves.

Also sporting smoky eyes was MMVA co-host, Demi Lovato, who took home international video of the year for “Heart Attack.” Trying out an uncharacteristically edgy look (and quite well, we might add!), the singer wore a little black dress with zipper detail and black pumps both by Saint Laurent.

You would think Avril Lavigne has her hands full with her music, her Abbey Dawn clothing line, and her boy toy, Brody Jenner, but the 27 year old just announced another project: a deal with beauty giant Sally Hansen to produce a limited edition Salon Effects Nail Strips collection this spring.

The stars descended upon Toronto last night for the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards. The show is always one big blowout bash and this year’s show didn’t disappoint. Neither did the red carpet. From Avril Lavigne in signature black rocker gear to co-host Selena Gomez posing pretty in a cream ruffled mini dress, there was plenty of eye candy as far as the cameras could see. This Sunday, all eyes will be on the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards, the channel’s annual celebration of a year in music, videos and, of course, its stars! If the stellar lineup—including Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Avril Lavgine and Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev—is any indication, this year’s show is certain to kill it. While we’ll have to wait until the night of to see what the stars are wearing, we had a little something to do with what host Lauren Toyota will be donning. Comedian Chris Rock seemed to have a good time while in Toronto recently to perform a stand-up show at Massey Hall. The night before, he enjoyed bottle service at Brant House with some buddies. Following his hilarious gig, he headed back to his hotel, the Four Seasons, for dinner with said pals at Truffles, before moving the party to his suite.

Despite the wintery weather that’s taken over Hog Town during the beginning of February, celebs have still sauntered in and out of the city.
