Karl Lagerfeld has some more opinions he’d like you to know about, but thankfully these ones are all fashion related
Karl Lagerfeld knows what he likes. And he really knows what he doesn’t like. In a recent interview for the relaunch of M Magazine—which was initially published from 1983 to 1992—the Kaiser chatted about his personal grooming (he’s had his signature ponytail for 35 years) and his very specific allergies (hint: it’s not medical).

Who’s the sexiest Middleton? Karl Lagerfeld makes his pick
Who’s the sexiest Middleton? According to Karl Lagerfeld, it’s Carole Middleton. Kate and Pippa’s 57-year-old mother.
In an exclusive interview with Grazia, the Kaiser didn’t hold back (as per usual) and said “I think Carole is very sexy. I think the mother is sexier than both the daughters. There is something full of life about her. For a woman who must be 50 or so, I think she’s great – full of energy.”

Quotable: This size zero pop star misses being “chunkier”
If this is a bid for sympathy, we’re not sure it’s going to work with most women: Rihanna has been sounding off about her size zero body as of late, saying she misses being “chunkier.” The Bajan bombshell lamented her former bodacious behind to US Weekly a few weeks ago, then complained to Harper’s Bazaar in her August cover story about her shrunken butt yet again.
“I don’t know if there’s something going on with my body right now, but I’m eating everything in life! I miss my ass. It just went away! I need a butt. I have an idea of one, but it’s not living up to its full potential right now.”

Quotable: This shoemaker thinks women who wear uncomfortable shoes are stupid
Years upon years of watching Sex and the City have etched Manolo Blahnik’s eponymous shoe line into our female collective unconscious, largely thanks to Carrie’s fanatical obsession with the Spanish designer’s heels, which gave his designs an almost myth-like status. Given all this adulation, Blahnik’s opinions about shoemaking and fashion fanatics are a bit surprising. […]

Quotable: Until she became the face of a fragrance, this star had never worn perfume
Up until she was hand-plucked by Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière to be the face of the label’s latest fragrance, Florabotanica, Kristen Stewart was a perfume virgin. Growing up, her interests were more of the rough-and-tumble variety than sneaking samples of her mom’s cosmetics. Considering that the Snow White and the Huntsman star admits she’s “a terrible liar,” there was some anxiety leading up to her first encounter with Balenciaga’s new scent—but by the sounds of it, Stewart is now hooked:

Quotable: Thanks to practicing on her brother’s face while growing up, this A-list star is quite handy with the makeup brush
Considering her gig as an Almay spokesperson and her Hollywood pedigree, it’s not all that surprising that Kate Hudson knows a thing or two about makeup. The star even told People recently that she does both her and her friends’ makeup for premieres: “If I’m bringing them to a premiere . . . they’ll all […]

Quotable: Kim says the Kardashians are famous thanks to that elusive “It” factor, but dark hair, good looks and curves also help
It’s not exactly like they need it, but the Kardashian Klan is getting another moment in the spotlight as they kozy (sorry, we had to) up with Oprah for a much-hyped interview special. Oprah decided to pull out the big guns, flat-out asking them if they think they’d be famous if they weren’t “good-looking kids,” to which Rob Kardashian replied “they’re not like skinny women . . . they’re not models here.” Big sister Kim Kardashian swept in and took the reins, giving O a much more inspiring explanation:

Quotable: Wonder what a Victorian beach-inspired manicure would look like? Zooey Deschanel explains her quirky nail art
Though her scarlet Oscar de la Renta dress was already a showstopper on its own, Zooey Deschanel’s lemon yellow 3-D nail art was perhaps the most eye-catching element of her whole look for the Critics’ Choice Television Awards. The New Girl star, who’s fond of wearing clever manicures on the red carpet, spoke with BellaSugar about the unlikely inspiration for her citron and silver nails.

Quotable: Iris Apfel will never pay a fortune to look like a freak
If there were anyone who’d be worth listening to when it comes to style pointers, it’d be Iris Apfel. The “geriatric star,” as she refers to herself, has 90 years of experience in the field. With a M.A.C cosmetics line and a Costume Institute exhibit of her wildly eccentric wardrobe under her belt, it’s safe to say she’s an expert. True to form, Apfel had sharp one-liners and nuggets of wisdom to spare during a talk with Tavi Gevinson at the Met last night.
When asked about throwing looks together in the morning, Apfel advised taking chances:

Quotable: Good news, older fans! Justin Bieber’s new Girlfriend fragrance is just for you
Justin Bieber wants us to know he’s no ageist with the newest addition to his fragrance empire, Girlfriend. The 18-year old pop singer claims that although similar, his latest perfume is more mature than Someday—the scent which marked his first foray into the world of celebrity fragrance. A Bieber cologne, on the other hand, won’t be happening anytime soon because he claims has no interest in doing a men’s fragrance. As for Bieber’s real-life girlfriend, he told WWD that while there’s no competition between the two young stars, he did joke about giving Selena Gomez some tips on creating her very own celebrity fragrance:

Quotable: Tom Ford on the whole no-runway situation
Tom Ford opened up to Grazia recently about why he eschewed spectacle-like runway shows in favour of hush-hush star-studded reveals. Though we’re still hoping he’ll take to the runway again one day, his reasoning for steering clear of them proves a good enough point that we’ll just have to forgive him for the veiled presentations.
“When you do a runway show you have to amp things up in a way so that they read from a great distance — so that they are designed for photography rather than for a consumer … And what I wanted to do was create clothes for real people.”

Quotable: Tyra Banks doesn’t want to be idolized
Tyra Banks’ latest venture in her crusade of female empowerment is just nearing completion. The name is a bit questionable (the Tyra Banks TZONE at the Lower East Side Girls Club… and breathe), but Banks hopes the leadership centre, which is almost done construction, will become a consistent hangout for local girls. She even plans on doing her work in the space to set an example.
“What I don’t want to be is Tyra, the ‘celebrity girl,’ coming here and the girls being excited when they see me. I want them to be numb to me. I can do normal work here and they can see me, to know that this is what a business is. It’s not about living on a red carpet. I am a businesswoman who goes to work every single day.”
