On the eve of Sienna and Savannah Miller’s departures from Twenty8Twelve, we look back at the top 10 best and worst celebrity fashion lines
We were shocked to hear that one of the first (and few) celebrity lines to succeed, Twenty8Twelve, announced today that notoriously stylish Sienna Miller and her designer sister Savannah Miller have left the label. Come fall, the label will change its name from Twenty8Twelve by s. miller to Twenty8Twelve London. Despite the loss of the two co-creative directors, the brand will still show at the upcoming London fashion week, and has plans to expand into e-commerce and open a new store in New York (in addition to their successful London stores and sales in department stores worldwide).
This news about one of the most prominent celebrity lines got us thinking about celebrity status and fashion-line success. We revisit 10 of the best and worst celebrity fashion lines out there and give you our verdicts.

Fashion news: Anna is not amused, Tom Ford looking for funding, Lara Stone apparently tired of being so “fat”
Anna Wintour looked displeased at being seated front row next to Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof at the Twenty8Twelve show. The girls garnered attention, hugging and fawning over one another, while the famed editor looked unamused in every shot, hiding behind her oversized dark sunglasses. The camera never lies, and in this case, it failed to hide Ms. Wintour’s obvious disdain. [Daily Mail]
Nordstrom is launching a line of Twilight clothing that will hit stores in a few weeks. Eager to take a stab at sporting the New Moon ensembles? MTV will be hosting a sneak peek at the collection in what they are calling “Twilight Fashion Week.” The Twilighter tees will broadcast support for either ‘Team Edward’ or ‘Team Jacob,’ since, of course, we’re all dying to know. Dispatches from London: LFW Avsh Alom, Aquascutum, and Twenty8Twelve
I made it onto Garance Doré! I can’t believe it. Besides being completely and utterly starstruck (she is the nicest lady, and so beautiful!), her comments about how London street fashion is much more cutting-edge (and borderline trashy, in some cases) than in New York, where things seem to be more polished and often very brand-driven, is definitely on the mark.
In any case, I’m loving some of the crazy fashion, which was at its sparkly extreme at yesterday’s Avsh Alom presentation. I have never seen so much glittery half-shaved hair, one-false-eyelashed craziness, and ridiculous platform shoes in one room in my entire life!
