On the eve of Sienna and Savannah Miller’s departures from Twenty8Twelve, we look back at the top 10 best and worst celebrity fashion lines
We were shocked to hear that one of the first (and few) celebrity lines to succeed, Twenty8Twelve, announced today that notoriously stylish Sienna Miller and her designer sister Savannah Miller have left the label. Come fall, the label will change its name from Twenty8Twelve by s. miller to Twenty8Twelve London. Despite the loss of the two co-creative directors, the brand will still show at the upcoming London fashion week, and has plans to expand into e-commerce and open a new store in New York (in addition to their successful London stores and sales in department stores worldwide).
This news about one of the most prominent celebrity lines got us thinking about celebrity status and fashion-line success. We revisit 10 of the best and worst celebrity fashion lines out there and give you our verdicts.

They said/We said: We’re a tad horrified that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has a six-figure tuxedo deal
As we eagerly await tonight’s premiere of Jersey Shore’s fourth season, reports are flying that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will be fronting a line of tuxedos. The reality star seems to be following the example of fellow cast members JWoww, Pauly D, and Snooki by expanding his brand to include clothing.
The deal, a line also called “The Situation,” (natch!) comes courtesy of a New York–based manufacturer called FLOW Formal, a company hoping to reach a younger demographic. What’s more is that Sitch is supposedly raking in a whopping six figures for a role that still seems sketchy. It’s still unclear whether he’ll only serve to promote the collection or actually have some design input.
The scheduled launch of February 2012 and the emphasis on a younger customer base bring one thing to mind: prom season. For the sake of 2012’s graduating classes, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that things are kept classic. Thinking about the product of a Jersey Shore star’s venture into formalwear is a bit terrifying: rhinestones on lapels, backs printed like tattoos, shirts purposefully left undone indecently low… We could go on, but we won’t.

Fashion news: Lara Stone sues French Playboy, Mad Men nail polish and Olivier Zahm’s broken heart
Purple mag editor Olivier Zahm has been dumped by his main lady love, Natacha Ramsay, for another man. Zahm wrote a post on Purple Diary, which was accompanied by an image of a shattered frame of an image of the two during happier times. An excerpt: “She called me to tell me that she loves him, that we are finished. I asked her to come back two times and she said no two times […] Right now I’m just a mess.” [Purple Diary]
Angela Missoni, who has been the creative director of her clothing line and family biz since 1996, is thinking of stepping down within the next two years and plans to hand the reigns over to her daughter Margherita. [Vogue UK]
Lara Stone is suing French Playboy for publishing nude shots of her without her permission. Stone maintains: “It’s not the kind of publication I would ever choose to appear in. I feel I have no option but to take steps to protect my reputation.” [The Cut]
