Kristen Stewart looks moody, sexy and stunning in a new Balenciaga Florabotanica ad

What a wonderful Friday morning surprise: Balenciaga has just released a new Kristen Stewart for Florabotanica campaign image and we’re totally in love.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since K Stew’s initial Balenciaga perfume campaign came out. Since then, a new creative director has stepped in, causing many to question whether or not the actress (who has a close working relationship with Nicolas Ghesquière) would continue to act as the face of Florabotanica. While there were no such talks of her terminating the contract, we needed to see it to believe it—and it was worth the wait.

Giles Deacon has paired with Nivea to create quirky, limited edition packaging
When the worlds of fashion and beauty collide, the result is usually a grand success. One look at Alber Elbaz’s collection for Lancôme or Matthew Williamson’s collaboration with Benefit Cosmetics and you’ll agree. So naturally we were tingling with excitement to hear of Nivea’s new partnership with British designer Giles Deacon. This isn’t the typical […]

YouTube beauty guru Michelle Phan reveals her much-anticipated cosmetics collection

Photography courtesy Michelle Phan The power of beauty bloggers can no longer be denied. After two years in the making—and with all the hype of the blogging world behind her—YouTube beauty guru Michelle Phan is launching a makeup collection.
Called Em, Phan’s collection (which is backed by L’Oréal Paris) can be considered a collaborative effort. Inspired by the desires of her 4.5 million followers, Phan reached out to fans from all over the world and listened to their beauty product needs via her various social media platforms. The resulting collection is one that’s designed for the everyday gal: Em features a wide range of beauty necessities and one groundbreaking convenient package.
According to Allure, Em will launch with a total of 250 products, including eyeshadows, blushes and foundations, but the star of the collection is the Life Palette. Available in eight different styles for every occasion (you’re literally covered from day to night and everything in between), the refillable kit holds up to 36 colour cosmetic pans: 24 eyeshadows, four blushes and eight lip colours. It even comes with a personal de-potting tool so you can add and remove shades to fit your daily beauty routine. Genius!

Cover Girl is releasing a makeup collection and 12 high-concept looks in celebration of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
See the Cover Girl looks for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire »
A few months ago Cover Girl announced their partnership with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with a somewhat-mysterious teaser poster and last night we finally got to see what they’ve been up. The Capitol Collection—set to launch in October—will be a complete colour cosmetics collection from the beauty brand, though specific details are still under wraps. However, Cover Girl had Dottie, their Capitol makeup artist (that’s right—the Capitol as in, of Panem) create twelve unique beauty looks, inspired by the twelve districts from the film/books.
The looks are something like you’d expect to see during couture week—they’re high-concept and extremely alluring. And for maximum delayed-gratification-ness, only two of the twelve have been released so far. Luxury, for District 1, is perfectly blinged-out with a deep, dramatic red lip. And Fishing, for District 4, is a deep-sea fantasy complete with bejewelled eyes and holographic shimmer.

Beyoncé has a pixie cut! Beyoncé has a pixie cut!

Photography via Instagram/Beyonce See the other shots of Beyoncé’s short hair »
Here’s the only piece of beauty news you need to know today, kids: Beyoncé now has a super short pixie cut. She’s joined the ranks of other celebs who made the very on-trend cut this summer! And because only Beyoncé herself announces any and all news about, well, herself, the singer chose to share her new hair via three Instagram snaps late last night.
The cropped style looks great—this is Beyoncé, after all—and the only real disagreement between fans (aka internet commenters) is over whether it’s an actual cut to her real hair or just another one of her stunning wigs.

Best celebrity colour changes of the season: 7 blonde, red and even grey (!) dye jobs worth trying
See the best celebrity hair colour changes up close »
We’re smack in the middle of the lazy, hazy days of summer and, if you’re anything like us, heat and humidity equal doing as little as possible when it comes to hair and makeup. Which makes it the perfect time to mix things up with a new hair colour—aside from an afternoon spent at the salon (or at the hands of a trusted friend) a new shade is the easiest way to refresh your otherwise low-maintenance look.
In order to inspire a change, we’re taking a look back at some of the best celebrity dye jobs from the past few months. While a number of these looks were all part of the day’s work—like Jennifer Lawrence ditching her Katniss hair colour for honey blonde or Emma Stone returning to her (faux) red roots—other dye jobs seemed to signal a change in personality. There is no doubt, after all, that a new hair colour can make you feel like a new person. (At least, that’s what Miley Cyrus keeps telling us!)

Nicki Minaj shares a crazy sneak peek at her upcoming David LaChapelle-shot fragrance campaign

Photography by Instagram/Nicki Minaj Nicki Minaj and photographer David LaChapelle are working together once again. The duo—who first caught our eye with a colourful collaboration for M.A.C Viva Glam—are now at work on Minaj’s newest fragrance campaign. While few details about the upcoming scent are available, Minaj’s sneak peek via Instagram has our imaginations running.
In one photo, Minaj is in her trailer, dressed in an oversized pink ball gown (which looks like a Barbie version of Carrie Bradshaw’s wedding dress) and decked out in lots of diamond jewellery. The only thing that’s as over-the-top as her wardrobe is her facial expression—is she bored, tired or just being dramatic?

Honey, the newest Marc Jacobs fragrance, wants you to drop a pin with #MJHONEYSPOTS
Marc Jacobs is adding a new scent to its roster of It girl-worthy fragrances: Honey, set to launch this August, is a sunny and energetic sister scent to last year’s Dot. But where Dot was a lush floral fragrance, Honey is fruity, fresh and not as saccharine-sweet as the name would suggest.
The other thing about Honey is that—like many of the Marc Jacobs fragrances—it has a distinct personality. She’s spontaneous, brazen and modern. (The Honey girl is basically like your friend who knows the best new brunch spot but always shows up a little late.) In keeping with the role of adventurous urbanite, Honey is launching with an interactive campaign that encourages fans to share their favourite places around the city, country and world.

Once again, Chanel has us mesmerized: Ouija board imagery makes for a playful Fall 2013 makeup collection video
While it may be too early to talk about cooler temperatures, this new video from Chanel has us a little hypnotized for fall. Promoting the Chanel Fall 2013 makeup collection, the short film takes direction from Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s beliefs in luck and superstition. Katy Perry’s new Killer Queen fragrance skips the bubble gum pop for a more sophisticated style

Left: Photography by Larry Busacca/Getty Images, Right: Image via WWD From the floral headdress Katy Perry wore to The Great Gatsby NYC premiere to the embellished crown she paired with her Dolce and Gabbana frock at this year’s Met Gala, the Queen of pop clearly has a penchant for regal accessories. Perched atop a golden throne, Perry flaunted her latest royalty-approved ensemble, a Thom Browne ball gown and crown-clad nails, at the recent launch of her newest fragrance Killer Queen.
Due out in August, Killer Queen marks Perry’s third venture into the world of fragrances, and one that seems to be a complete departure from her cutesy aesthetic.
