Emmys 2013: Our top 20 best dressed on the red carpet
See the Emmys 2013 red carpet gallery »
The Primetime Emmy Awards were held last night in L.A. drawing the stars of our favourite highly addictive shows. From Kerry to Carrie and beyond, the red carpet was lined with gown after gown of the most feminine pinks, vibrant blues and fresh off the runway pieces.
Making a simple but bold statement with fall’s pink trend, Rose Byrne showed clean lines in a petal pink Calvin Klein cropped two-piece as did January Jones in a textured Spring 2014 Givenchy strapless gown by Riccardo Tisci. Sisters Zooey and Emily Deschanel wore similarly hued gowns by J.Mendel and Houghton as they presented an award onstage. Blue was also popular for Tina Fey and Allison Williams, who worked cobalt blue in Narsico Rodriguez and Ralph Lauren respectively.
Our Emmys 2013 standouts include the ever-smoldering Sofia Vergara whose mind-blowing curves left us with body envy. The Modern Family star sizzled in a crimson Vera Wang gown and emerald Lorraine Schwartz earrings. Claire Danes, who walked away with a coveted Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama, was delicate in an off white Armani Privé Fall 2013 gown.
Accompanying the glamour came an evening chock full of surprises, laughs and unforgettable acceptance speeches. Memorable moments include the host Neil Patrick Harris’s mid-show musical number, Michael Douglas’s Liberace-esque speech and the funny and casually dressed Will Ferrell. With the best leading ladies in primetime television satisfying our sartorial needs on the red carpet and dapper gents as far as the eye could see at the Emmys 2013, glamour was definitely in the air!
Who was your favourite of the evening?

See the TIFF 2013 red carpet best dressed picks »
After ten days of red carpet premieres, after parties and celebrity stalking, TIFF 2013 has officially come to an end.
Possibly the best (and most well-dressed) year yet, Toronto had quite the roster of A-list celebrities in town to promote new films and projects. While the crush-worthy men looked as dapper as always, it was really the ladies who stole the show, bringing glamorous outfits onto the red carpet.
Cool blue tones were a favourite amongst the stars (possibly a nod to the emerging Spring 2014 trend?) with the colour appearing on Olivia Wilde, Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Aniston—to name a few.
And while celebrities like Taylor Swift, Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson opted for the minimalist yet sultry look in solid colours, how could anyone forget Keira Knightley’s whimsical printed dress by Mary Katrantzou.
Not ready to let go of TIFF just yet? From Nicole Kidman’s tailored pantsuit to Kate Winslet’s glowing pregnancy style, we’ve rounded up the top TIFF red carpet looks and all you have to do is vote for your favourite.

New York Fashion Week: Ralph joins the mod squad, Calvin shows minimalism and Marc dreams of the 1890s for Spring 2014
See the final looks from New York Fashion Week Spring 2014 »
That’s a wrap! It’s been a whirlwind week of over 350 shows, front row gossip and a whole lot of crop tops (both on and off the runway) but somehow we survived to blog another day. Day 8 of New York Fashion Week saw three of the city’s designer kings take the stage: Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs. Three names that are synonymous with American design and three very different collections.
Ralph Lauren celebrated ’60s mod with a suite of mostly black and white looks featuring the era’s signature simple shift dresses, knee high socks, contrast collars and menswear inspiration. Streamlined silhouettes were pumped up with mix and match prints of black and white florals, plaids, stripes and checks. Next came an army of Crayola solids: a zingy green skirt suit, a neon orange coat, a red mock neck paired with red trousers and the show stopper: a cobalt blue strapless gown sported by Karlie Kloss.

How to wear a pencil skirt: 5 Style Panel tips for bringing this staple out of the office
Nothing satisfies our shopping addiction more than investing in versatile pieces. A tailored pencil skirt easily makes the list of guilt-free purchases. With a variety of colours and styles to choose from, there’s really no excuse for not experimenting with this flattering sartorial staple.
The value of a pencil skirt is perhaps best realized in its ability to take you from day to night. Whether you prefer a classic black midi skirt such as the Calvin Klein style Rooney Mara recently pulled off, or a fun embellished one such as the Burberry Prorsum knee-length skirt Blake Lively dazzled in, the sleek form fitting design combines an office-appropriate length with a nightlife-appropriate wow-factor. Our September cover girl Olivia Wilde knows how to wear a pencil skirt. She recently stunned in this red-checkered A.L.C. midi skirt, giving us all a lesson in print. Wilde paired her skirt with a black leather top and metallic clutch confirming that the styling possibilities for this must-have piece are endless.

Rooney Mara versus Amber Heard: Which star wore the crop top best?
Oh, crop tops! As one of the season’s biggest fashion staples, we’ve seen the crop top make appearances at music festivals, park hangs and red carpets galore. While some leading ladies find continual crop top success (Miley should get an award) others save the style for statement-making moments. Yesterday Amber Heard and Rooney Mara took their turns at the trend and both actresses sported spot-on crop top ensembles.
Rooney Mara opted for the bold look at a screening of Ain’t Them Bodies Saints in New York City. The risk factor was low for Mara, whose perfectly toned midriff was subtly displayed through the simple Calvin Klein ensemble. Mara kept her navy blue long sleeved crop top balanced with an equally dark minimalist pencil skirt. The outfit was topped off with a pair of Brian Atwood sandals in a matching shade of black. Mara pinned half her hair up and left the other half wavy, showing off its new longer length. Minimal eye make-up, bronzer and bold brows had Mara looking radiant. We like to think she topped off her look with a spray of her favourite Calvin Klein perfume.

Christy Turlington is stunning as ever in Calvin Klein Underwear’s ads for Fall 2013

What is it about supermodels and their inability to age? From Kate Moss’s new campaign for St. Tropez to Naomi Campbell’s recent stroll down the catwalk at Versace, the classic beauties look almost the same as when they stepped into the modeling game over twenty five years ago. The same can be said for Christy Turlington Burns, 44, whose newly released campaign for Calvin Klein Underwear had us confusing the images with the model’s past campaigns for the brand dating back to the mid 1990s.
