Fall 2012 Trends Editor’s picks: The must-have items you need to bring your wardrobe into this season
See our Fall 2012 Trends shopping picks »
See our Fall 2012 trends guide »Last week, we gave you four trends to shake-up your fall wardrobe and today, we’re bringing you the must-have pieces that will completely overhaul your look. From jewellery as small as a panther ring to a bold statement look like a printed skirt suit, these pieces will make your closet on trend as we round the corner and head into winter. We’ve taken inspiration from the fall runways like Zac Posen’s Asian-inspired collection with silk brocade shoes and clutches by Jason Wu and decided that wearing pastels and whites in the winter is no longer a fashion no-no as seen on Chloe’s fall runway. These are the style MVPs of fall 2012 worth investing in and will help you score major style points all season long.

Toronto Fashion Week Spring 2013 Street Style: 18 shots of brocade, layering and other fall trends on the run outside the first day of shows
View the first batch of Toronto Fashion Week Spring 2013 street style »
Hopefully having a couple of weeks to relax and refresh after the end of Paris Fashion Week did you well, because Fashion Week Spring 2013 continues on. This time the shows are just mere steps from our front doors as Toronto Fashion Week gets underway.
Officially World MasterCard Fashion Week doesn’t start until next week, but that doesn’t mean Fashion Week is already in full swing. Our resident street style photographer Stefania Yarhi was out yesterday snapping all the fashionable Torontonians as they rushed from The Collections to The ShOws. And rush they did! Going from Chloe Comme Parris and Label at the Burroughs Building to Tanya Taylor and Jean-Pierre Braganza at Andrew Richards Design in a small amount of time is no easy feat, but the fashion crowd did their best to not miss these presentations.

Joe Fresh expands its fall shoe selection with over 70 covetable new styles
View selections from the Joe Fresh Fall 2012 shoe collection »
Since its launch in 2006, Joe Fresh has been on a whirlwind across Canada (and since late last year, the US) providing women with fashion-forward clothing at super affordable prices. And the store has hit the mark again for fall with their newly expanded shoe department.
The store is no stranger to selling shoes, but the expanded area within the brand’s freestanding boutique locations means for greater selection. And for us that means we have to clear room in our closets, as these shoes are on our must-have list already. With over 70 different styles available and multiple colours to choose from in each, you can expect to see (more) Joe Fresh on the feet of many fashionable ladies this fall.

Inside Mendocino’s 25th anniversary: 18 shots of partygoers getting silver manicures, sipping trend-themed drinks and shopping the night away!
Check out the photos from Mendocino’s 25th anniversary party! »
Mendocino’s 25th anniversary was marked last week with a celebration at the store’s Yonge Street location. The evening began with a trend presentation from the store’s head buyer, Christina Faucher. Key trends for fall and the upcoming holiday season—such as leather, oxblood and prints—were presented on models who mingled with partygoers throughout the night. Guests sipped custom cocktails tailored to the season’s tops trends (think: “Better than Bordeaux” and “Prints Charming”) while perusing merchandise. That is, unless their nails were wet: In honour of Mendocino’s silver anniversary, Tips Nail Bar joined the celebration to do metallic Essie manicures on guests. There were also many silver sweets to be had—while waiting for manicure partygoers filled takeout containers with silver and white sweets from a fully stocked candy table. Happy silver anniversary, indeed!

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2013 Style Snaps: We spy Rachel Zoe, Leigh Lezark, Taylor Tomasi Hill, Giovanna Battaglia and more outside Giambattista Valli and Stella McCartney
See the latest photos from Paris Fashion Week »
Today’s set of street style photos from Paris Fashion Week Spring 2013 is basically a stylish game of Where’s Waldo because there are so many major fashion folks to spot. Think you have what it takes? Because our street style photographer Stefania Yarhi definitely does.
First, we breathe a sigh of relief upon spotting Anna Dello Russo (we were seriously freaking out yesterday) in a bright Peter Pilotto dress outside Giambattista Valli. Also outside was Leigh Lezark, in a fiery red, orange and black ensemble—half pantsuit, half structured sweater. There’s also quite the French beauty aesthetic going on, with almost everyone sporting natural waves and messy curls, including Emmanuelle Alt and Australian stylist Caroline Sieber. It’s a hairstyle that works: they look casual cool as they cruise around the streets of Paris.
