Forget about K.Stew, here’s all the info and images we could scrounge up from Liberty Ross’s amazing fashion career!
A guide to Liberty Ross’s fashion moments »
While our reaction may not have been quite on par with Nutty Madam’s (please do yourself a favor and watch her “HOW COULD YOU DO THIS KRISTEN?!” video), we were definitely all taken by surprise when revelations of Kristen Stewart’s affair with Rupert Sanders, her much older, married-with-two-kids Snow White and the Huntsman director, came to light on Tuesday.
While we’re obviously feeling for poor, beautiful Robert Pattinson during this tumultuous time, it’s Sanders’ wife Liberty Ross who has emerged as the most sympathetic and interesting figure out of the entire debacle. Aside from a bit of cryptic social media usage, the polished Ross has remained completely mum about the whole affair so far, which of course means we’ve had to go digging on her.

We talk Britney and Bowie with It girl and M.A.C. Viva Glam Fashion Cares performer Sky Ferreira
“It’s a blessing and a curse,” Sky Ferreira opines about the conflicting aspects of her sound, a duality in tastes that has seen her through gritty Debbie Harry–esque melodies to raw Jon Brion–produced ballads. The 19-year-old singer is a bit of a dichotomy herself: she will unabashedly profess her adoration for Britney Spears in the same breath as her love for David Bowie, and makes no apologies for being tricky to label.

They said/We said: Condé Nast reportedly forbids its contributors and employees from working with Carine Roitfeld
In a move that could be straight out of The Devil Wears Prada, the New York Post’s Page Six is reporting that Condé Nast is pulling out all the stops in its attempt to freeze out former Condé editor Carine Roitfeld.
A source told Page Six that Condé Nast CEO Jonathan Newhouse sent out a friendly “reminder” to contracted contributors like Mario Testino, Craig McDean, David Sims and the Mert Alas/Marcus Piggott team about their exclusive contracts with Condé, and that contributing to Roitfeld’s new biannual glossy CR Fashion Book would violate their agreements.
Even those who are not under contractual obligation with Condé Nast are being strongly “discouraged” from contributing to CR, which will be published by Fashion Media Group LLC.
After having left her post as editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris amid a flurry of rumours (most hinting at tensions between Roitfeld and Newhouse), the fashion industry was abuzz with excitement over what direction the always edgy and fascinating Roitfeld would take. So far, all her ventures have been far from disappointing.
Given Roitfeld’s popularity with the who’s-who of the fashion world, it will be interesting to see how this rumoured power struggle unfolds. We can only imagine the number of advertisers, brands, editors and photographers who are caught between a desperate desire to collaborate with Roitfeld and the fear of some serious backlash from publishing heavyweight Condé Nast.

They said/ We said: Jennifer Lopez covers the latest issue of V, package in hand
Jennifer Lopez’ cover on V magazine has everyone buzzing, and not because of her contentious Oscar nip-slip (did it or didn’t it?). Rather, it’s the singer from the block’s get-up that has piqued people’s interest or more specifically, her generously padded jockstrap.
The androgynous cover—photographed and styled by tag team Mario Testino and Carine Roitfeld, respectively—has J.Lo looking one part Million Dollar Baby and one part Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2012.
Frankly, we’re not surprised. Though the aesthetic may be lacking the Parisian elegance Roitfeld is known for, she’s never been one to pass up some good controversy (remember this?). Natch, a bulging jockstrap would just be too much for her to turn down.
The cover comes after a recent push from the fashion industry towards gender-bending (think: Lea T, Andrej Pejic, Kate Moss). And with exciting covers like this coming out we hope the push continues for a long time.

First kiss: Marking her 10th anniversary with Rimmel, Kate Moss unveils a lipstick collection
Kate Moss has some new hobbies. She’s into canning jams and chutneys. She’s also rumoured to be whipping up batches of homemade soap using blooms from her English garden, something she hopes to turn into a business venture. In light of all these domestic projects, it would seem a culinary arts and crafts coffee-table book, perhaps lensed by her long-time friend Mario Testino, can’t be far behind.

They said/We said: The Queen forbids Duchess Kate from posing for Vogue
For the past few weeks, we’ve been hearing little buzzes about Duchess Kate being featured in Vogue. The magazine’s been in hot pursuit of the young royal, and have reportedly been hoping that Mario Testino’s close relationship with the Royal family, having shot of the Duke and Duchess’s engagement photos, would help the connection.
Alas, the rumours can now be put to rest, as the Queen has made it clear that she is not for it. A palace aid has told various sources that the Queen “would definitely not be amused,” if Kate decided to model. All sources seem to say that Kate will stick to philanthropic projects that will make a larger difference in the lives of those in need. Take that, Anna.
But aren’t they going after the wrong Middleton? With Pippa hot on the scene as of late (she recently sat front row at Alice Temperley’s Spring 2012 show), she could be just the willing fashion icon the doctor ordered.

Fashion news: London looters, Erin Fetherston goes to Juicy Couture and Kelly Cutrone Takes to YouTube
Kell on Earth hasn’t even hit Canada yet, but we’ll be lucky to get the first season, because plans for a second seem to be lagging. Kelly Cutrone, clearly not waiting around, has instead set up a YouTube channel, KellyCutroneTV, where you can get “daily missives” from the People’s Revolution team. [Styleite] Read our interview with Kelly Cutrone.
There has been a string of burglaries hitting London’s high end shops, and last night Chanel was the target (clearly the burglers have good taste). Over the past two years other retail stores including Dolce & Gabbana, Harvey Nichols, Anya Hindmarch and Salvatore Ferragamo have been robbed, but police haven’t confirmed yet if it’s the same high-end hitters that keep looting the shops. Kate Moss and Mario Testino are teaming up to release a book. The 1,500 limited-edition signed copies will go for a cool 305 Euros. [Fabsugar UK via Stylelist]
