A definitive ranking of the most hideous dresses in Bachelor history
It’s the first Monday of the new year, which, after weeks of gluttonous parties and holidays that mandate copious amounts of champagne, sounds about as scintillating as reorganizing your sock drawer. Playtime is officially over, and with some six weeks of uninterrupted Monday-Friday grinds ahead of us, painstakingly measured out in days that settle into […]

What’s in your bag, Gregory Gorgeous?
See what’s inside Gregory Gorgeous’s purse! »
If you’re active in the online beauty world, you definitely know Gregory Gorgeous. His YouTube channel—which features everything from makeup tutorials to discussions about LGBT rights—has an impressive following (44 million video views? No big deal.) and now that the second season of his reality show, The Avenue, has started, he’s certainly on the brink of becoming a household name. Based in Toronto, The Avenue follows Gregory Gorgeous and his equally gorgeous friends as they try to make it in the city—think of it as our version of The Hills. So how does a reality TV and makeup tutorial star stay fabulous all day long? We jumped at the chance to explore Gregory’s Balenciaga Classique bag. Inside we uncovered multiple pairs of sunglasses (Gucci! Celine!), loads of M.A.C lipsticks and glosses, his favourite perfume and a host of other curious things. We don’t use this word often, but if anyone deserves the title of fierce, it’s Gregory Gorgeous.

They said/We said: André Leon Talley is coming back to reality TV with a new fashion show… wait, haven’t we heard this before?
We’ve been missing André Leon Talley—former Vogue editor-at-large, forever cape-wearer and sole creator of “dreckitude”—in our lives ever since he left his seat at the judges’ table on America’s Next Top Model. Lucky for us, the fashion icon will be starring in a new Bravo reality fashion show (yes, another one of those), tentatively titled Fashion Stories of NYC.

Today in questionable Rihanna news: a new tattoo and a new TV show
Rihanna debuted a new tattoo on Twitter yesterday and it’s, well, interesting. In an apparent homage to 2Pac, she now has “Thug Life” across her knuckles in pale-pink ink. First thought: we’re really into her her pale-pink pointy nails! Second thought: the red lipstick she’s wearing is also pretty! (Can you tell we’re trying to distract ourselves from really taking in the fact that Rihanna—with her millions of dollars and many mansions—wants to play like she’s a thug?) Anyway, she’s not interested in what anyone else thinks, telling one fan who called her on it to “shut up” and then proclaiming she was “#overit.”

Fashion news: Mona Lisa Gaga, a tax on tanning and Naomi Campbell’s reality show
Lady Gaga is a powerful force in both fashion and music–one that Black Book says could take on Anna Wintour in numbers alone—while the “Bad Romance” video has 30 million hits on YouTube, an issue of Vogue has a circulation of about 1.2 million copies. Racked’s recent reader’s choice poll of the best Photoshopped image of Gaga suggests the public’s obsession with her bizarre everything is here to stay. By the way, the Mona Lisa Gaga won with 44% of the vote. [Racked, Blackbook]
With the auction of Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé’s items done and over with, their Paris duplex is next up for sale. With a garden and 5,400 square feet of space, the apartment is expected to sell for around $30 million. [WWD]

Fashion news: Marc Jacobs reality show, Pugh designs accessories for Apple, and more
Marc Jacobs is rumoured to have a reality show in the works for gay network Logo. The show would play like a gay version of The Real Housewives, centred around Jacobs’ life at home and in the office and starring other “high-powered (openly gay) playboys.” Please, please, please let this be true. Hermès just keeps on growing. The 172-year-old brand recently purchased Asprey’s Bond Street store in London. [FWD]
A three-way union featuring Gareth Pugh, Colette and AnOther magazine has spawned an Apple electronics-apparel design. Teaming up with InCase to design a MacBook Pro foam case and an iPhone hard case, Pugh’s star pattern will adorn the protective new products. [Fashionista]

The Hills, in pastels
There is something of the Mona Lisa in Lauren Conrad’s signature half-smile, hovering between certain boredom and smug knowingness. We’d just never realized it until last week, when we heard that The Hills are alive again, and in portraiture? No kidding: Karin Bubaš (karinbubas.ca), a Vancouver artist known for photographic work, has created a whole series of drawings of TV’s favourite California girls—mascara running, collagen lips trembling, looks killing from across da club.

Meaghan Waller wins Canada’s Next Top Model
After starting Canada’s Next Top Model as the not-Heather blonde with braces, Winnipeg’s Meaghan Waller came into her own during a round of New York go-sees and made it quickly to the top. The very top. We chat with the Cycle 3 winner about her favourite moments and future plans.
What have you been up to since filming ended?
“I’ve actually gone back to my life, gone back to my friends, gone back to work. I’m trying to play it low key because going out is pretty hard.”You must get recognized a lot. What’s the reaction been?
“Almost all of it has been very, very positive. Everyone in Winnipeg has been so supportive.”Have you been able to tell anyone yet?
“Nope. My parents are having a big party tonight at their house.”Have you been watching the show?
“I think it’s really awkward to see myself on TV. I don’t watch it unless my parents force me to come over. They always have my friends over every Tuesday. I’d go over and give them some behind the scenes.” -
The Final Exit: Linsay
